  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

To further refute the teachings of mid-Acts (or, hyper- dispensationalists) re their belief that Paul was sent as an Apostle to the Gentiles only, let us look at Acts 9:10-15.... "Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, ‘Ananias,’ And he said, ‘Here I am, Lord.’
So the Lord said to him, ‘Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.’ Then Ananias answered, ‘Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem. And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name.’
But the Lord said to him, ‘Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel."

If Paul had restricted his ministry to Gentiles only, he would have directly disobeyed God, and failed to carry out His will.

Also, in Acts 15:1-29 (please read for yourself), Paul and Barnabas traveled to Jerusalem to settle the matter of whether those from among the Gentiles who had trusted Christ were required to be circumcised and keep the Mosaic Law..... the judgement of the Apostles and elders was that the converted Gentiles were not required so to do.

And in verse 25, contrary to the position of mid-Acts dispensationalists that the Apostles were not members of the Body of Christ/Bride of Christ/Church, but were of the Apostolic Church, they referred to themselves and the Christians in Antioch (The majority of whom were converted Gentiles), as "brothers".

On his second missionary journey, Paul (and Silas, both of whom were converted, or ex-Jews), delivered the decrees which the Apostles and elders had come to as recorded for us in Acts 16:4,5....!

"And as they (Paul and Silas) went through the cities, they delivered to them the decrees to keep, which were determined by the apostles and elders at Jerusalem. So the churches were astrengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily."

Strange behavior if the Apostles held no authority concerning the Body of Christ.

Mix it up and come up with a homogenized mess. Sigh.

This isnt "study"...this is proof texting...and we have heard it all before.

Well, if a text provides proof of a particular doctrinal position, then don't you think it would be better to accept the proof than to "Sigh." ?

The thought just occurred that you may not be able to see just what has been revealed to Paul. After all, many of the Scriptures quoted were what Paul wrote! And others were written by those who had them dictated to them by guess who? God!
