CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Strange, anyway. I just got back from vandalizing the church--- at the pastor's invitation, no less. We broke up the pews and tore up the carpet. Hammers and crowbars were the order of the afternoon. That makes for an interesting way to spend Sunday afternoon at church, eh?
It's all to the good, though. The old had to go to make way for the new, which should arrive Tuesday or thereabouts. New carpet and new chairs to replace the old pews. They say our capacity will grow somewhat, I'll have to see.
But, it was fun this afternoon--- legal vandalism of a church, by the pastor and the people of the church--- who'da thunk it?

I was completely taken back to see this video on here? I don't watch her show for obvious reasons and I'm a bit shocked to see it here to be honest with you?

why? because she's gay? Aren't we to hate the sin, not the sinner? I'm not a fan of her lifestyle and I don't watch her show, but I'm not a hater either. She does things for charity. JMHO.

OH, I'm not a hater either, I just don't watch her show because of her views on gay/lesbian marriages and also gay/lesbian churches. I feel that's wrong to push those kinds of things when she should know it's not right in the eyes of God? That's what I meant by my comment. I don't hate anyone because of their lifestyles or their beliefs? That's their cross to carry and I'm too far from perfect to judge anyone. I just don't care for her program so I don't choose to watch it is all. I guess I should have clarified things a bit???
