I don't often remember the funny things my kids say. Everyone says you should write them down, but I rarely do:(.

Today my son came to me with a toy that he'd lost and been looking for. I asked him where he found it and he said "behind my lymp" (pronounced "lime" with a "p" tacked on the end). After much questioning and puzzling it dawned on me that he was mixing the words "lamp" and "light" together--"lighmp!" I like it! I think it's going to be a new word in our household.

We went out to eat last night and my daughter had to go potty (she's 2) so I took her. We come back to the table and she annouces at the top of her lungs to my husband "Daddy, I Poot" (instead of poop). It was hard to be embarrased when she was so excited and so cute!

My daughter and I were walking on a pier at the beach and she asked, "Daddy, why does the water move?"

I told here there were 3 reasons the water moved. The first was waves caused by the motor on a boat. The second was the wind. And the third was the moon, when the moon passed overhead its gravity pulled the water toward it.

She looked up at me and said, "Daddy I may just be six but I am not stupid?"

She wasn't buying the moon thing.

Well, I am rather leary of sharing this one.... mainly because it reflects poorly on me. :D

My daughter is learning Christmas songs in preschool. She comes home and sings them to her sister and teaches her the songs. Currently 'We wish you a Merry Christmas" is being sung at our house.

We wish you a Merry Christmas we wish you a Merry Christmas we wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

You know the one? Well, they were in their bedroom and Shelby was singing the song and when she got to the 'now bring us some figgy pudding, now bring us some figgy pudding, now bring us some figgy pudding.....etc..... She delared 'Now bring me some friggin' pudding, now bring me some friggin pudding......

Another moment in the life of a parent when you realize they hear EVERYTHING you say.

I thought of another cute thing my daughter said. I took them to A&W for hotdogs the other day. Sammy (my soon to be 3 year old) said..."Mommy I want some mustard." So I went and got her some mustard. She looked at it and said..."Nooo... I want the red mustard." Which of course means she wanted the ketchup.. :D

when my big sister was little, had just become an elder and they had a very important meeting with all the elders at our house. While getting ready for the dinner mum smacked her head on the cuboard and said oh D---! realising the naomi had heard said she was very sorry and that was a very bad thing to say.
Well Mum thought that was the end and the elders all came and they were having a nice dinner and naomi wacked her head and said D---! Dad said "Naomi, we don't talk like that in our house!" and little naomi said "Mummy does"!!!!

Oh that is too hilarious!!!

I wrote a couple in the last thread of this type, so I won't dredge them up again.  But I have a great new one, as well.  My 3 1/2 year old sat down to lunch one afternoon, and suddenly he shakes my arm with both hands, looks up at me ecstatically and declares, "I didn't die!! Mommy, I didn't die!!"

I have no clue where that came from!

Oh yeah, another one.  My 8 year old had some of those fizzy candies a while ago, and some time later he asked for the ones that made his "tongue twinkle".  I think he was trying for "tingle".

Here's one a little more sobering.  Our neighbors are JWs and their 5 year old son was over playing one day.  He came up to our kids and said very sincerely, "When Armageddon comes, you're all going to die, you know?"  My daughter was appalled, and said back, "No, we're not!! We have Jesus in our hearts and we have eternal life!"  I was thrilled to hear her speak the word of the Spirit back to him so clearly!!

That's great Jn 207!

Yesterday we were coming home from the store and our son was in the back seat, pretendind he was driving, going "vroom vroom" and steering his immaginary steering wheel. He then started shifting gears with his immaginary shifter-- "shift shift!" Only he left the "f" out of shift. Dad hadn't been paying attention to what was going on in the back seat until he heard that word. Poor boy got an earful for that. I had to step in and explain things...

Jn that was so funny! And cute.

I had taken my girls to Pet Smart several weeks ago and we were looking at all the fish. We get out to the car and were all buckled up and ready to go and my daughter says, "Sure feels good to be on dry land". I laughed so hard and she rolls her eyes at me and tells me to stop. But I said to her oh hon, your so cute though and you make me laugh.

Then my mother tells me she does daily devotionals with her and one day she tells her grandmother that she's really sick of doing these promotions. LOL. I couldn't believe she'd say something like that but yet she mispronounced it and it sounded so funny. But my mom said she does enjoy doing them though. They are for her age.

There is just too much to remember at times. I have another daughter who isn't talking yet but I look forward to some more funny moments with her!

my little sister would tell storys of "when I was a boy"!!

I was at my friends house and her baby brother was playing with a toy plastic animal, and was trying to make it sit, all while yelling sit sit sit. his talking is not quite right how ever and added a small slur to the word and it came out sounding quite wrong!!!

we were driving in the car and anna said to me lizzie. how do plants wash themselves?!
