Funny comment from DS

We've been on holiday down the coast this last week. One day while we were walking back to the house from the beach we passed a family walking the other way who had 7 children. Pretty sure they were all theirs, but of course there could have been one or two school friends.

Anyway, I discreetly nodded towards them and said to DH "see, it's not just us" (because we're getting all these looks and comments at home at the moment about what a HUGE family we have).

Meanwhile DS had been adding them up and proclaimed in a loud voice "that's not fair! They've got nine!" He kept going on about it "we've only got 6, they've got nine"........

We tried to point out that it's not a competition, but......

Yeah! My oldest thinks we should have more babies so he can have more baby brothers and sisters.... that's what he says anyway.... he keeps pointing out that I don't have a baby in my tummy anymore ....

LOL, my oldest keeps asking for another sibling, preferably a brother, since she already has a sister, she is big on the number 5 right now so she feels that there should be 5 in our family.

That is so precious. So much for what people say about children wanting their parents all to themselves.

I was an only child until I was 8 (my dad got cancer after they conceived me and they couldn't have any more children after they had me) and then my sister was adopted when I was 8. I was so glad to not be an only child after that.
