1.I don't do the "vs"thing,I just try to point out that Jew's only make up to houses,and I think one should take the time to know where the other houses are...

2.In the last three chapters and including this chapter we see part of the plan of God that reaches out to all of God's children, Israel and Gentile alike. All races are God's children, and in Christ there is salvation to all that will believe on Jesus Christ and repent of their sins in Jesus' name. We can see the love of God, and His plan to place Himself back into the hearts of His children.

The issue that is in the background of all of the chapters of Romans is, "Is God unfair?" God is working here through Paul's writing to let you and I know that He is totally fair in all His judgments. You may not understand God's reasoning, but in His plan we can see He is always just.

Israel was the chosen, because these people are the chosen through which the Seed Jesus Christ would come. That Seed Jesus Christ is the Savior of all people. Paul discussed in the last chapter that because of that promised Seed, or Christ, now all could be saved. But to Israel, the Father said, "all day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people." Romans 10:21
So now we have the response to the prior three chapters.

Romans 11:1 "I say then, hath God cast away His people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin."

Here we have Paul's true genealogy. He was of the seed of Abraham, an Israelite of the tribe of Benjamin. Many have taught that Paul was a Roman, and a Jew, For His father was in Rome, as a free born Roman citizen, and Paul was educated there in Rome. He was a Jew, because he lived and continued his education in the land of Judaea, and all people living in the land of Judaea were considered Jews. However, through birth and genealogy, Paul was from the tribe of Benjamin.

The House of Judah [Jews] was made up of the two tribes of Judah and Benjamin, and a small part of the Levite tribe. In time the Nethenimins and their families mixed in and completely took over the duties of the scribes and priests, as recorded in Ezra 8:15. The territory given by Joshua to Benjamin when the Children of Israel came out of the wanderings in the wilderness included Jerusalem. Jerusalem was the capital city of the nation of the House of Judah, and thus Paul would be a Jew by means of location also.

Or, there is no guarantee of seeing in the future in the passage. There is just the statement that the whole unit will be as blind as it was in ancient past and NT times and the future, because God never was working with whole descendancies at a time anyway. He was always only ever working with those who have faith.

In the meanwhile, Judaism believed it was about descendancy and believed that the more particular Law supplanted and replaced the worldwide promises about the Gospel made to Abraham. Gal 3:17. That is the original replacement theology issue that we should be familiar with.

Romans 9-11 relates what happened between Israel and God that He appears to have turned from that nation.

Paul's point is that, yes, Israel has fallen and God has turned from them, but ONLY TEMPORARILY.

That Israel stumbled [at the Cross; which is how they "stumbled at that stumbling stone," Rom. 9:32, 33; John 19:15's "Crucify him... "Now if the fall OF THEM be the riches of the Gentiles; how much MORE THEIR fulness?," verse 12.

16. For IF the firstfruit be holy, the lump IS ALSO holy: and IF the root be holy, SO ARE THE BRANCHES.

In Numbers 15:17-21 Israel is instructed to bring the first fruits of the lump of the dough they made their bread out of, to the LORD, as an offering to Him. They could then eat the rest of it, as holy unto them, as it's first fruits had been holy [set apart as unto the LORD].

This same principle is what Paul is referring to - if the first fruit is holy, then so is the lump; the rest of that nation THAT BELIEVES.

The first fruit is "the little flock" of Luke 12:32 of which James writes "to the TWELVE TRIBES which are scattered abroad...Of HIS OWN WILL begat He US with the word of truth, that WE should be a kind of first fruits of His creatures," James 1:1, 18.

The Hebrew writer too, writes of those of that nation [ISRAEL] who are called to follow them, in Early Acts, by them that had followed Christ when He was here, Heb. 2.

Back to this issue of Rom. 11:16. The firstfruit is holy, and so is the lump: those of Israel that Paul in Rom. 2:29 identifies as "of God."

"The Israel of God" - those of Israel, in contrast to those of that nation, not the Israel of God, judged by the Spirit through Stephen as "uncircumcised in heart and ears," Acts 7:51.

The Israel of God were "Jews... inwardly;" their "circumcision... that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise" was "not of men, but OF GOD."

While the root is the origin of the branches [the nation ISRAEL]: Abraham.

Matthew 3:

7. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned thee to flee from the wrath to come?

Anyway, the root is Abraham. Just as he was holy, or set apart by God towards His purpose in Abraham, through his multiplied seed, so too is this multiplied seed - the branches - holy, or set apart by God, as to His purpose in that nation through Christ.

In this, "THEY ALSO, IF THEY abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in AGAIN: for God IS ABLE to graff THEM in AGAIN," Rom. 11:23.

In this, Paul has been laying out the actual sense of Romans 11:25's "fullness" way before he mentions it.

For, following the verse I have just quoted, verse 23, he continues his thought with verse 24's "FOR IF thou [you Gentiles at Rome] wert cut out of the wild olive tree which is wild by nature and were graffed in contrary to nature into a good olive tree: HOW MUCH MORE SHALL THESE, WHICH BE THE NATURAL BRANCHES, be graffed into THEIR OWN olive tree."

He continues this 'God is NOT through with Israel" thought in verse 25-27's "FOR I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant OF THIS MYSTERY, LEST YE SHOULD BE WISE IN YOUR OWN CONCEITS; that blindness IN PART is happened TO ISRAEL, UNTIL the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. AND SO all Israel shall be saved: AS IT IS WRITTEN, There SHALL come OUT OF SION the Deliverer, and SHALL turn ungodliness FROM.JAVOB: FOR THIS IS MY covenant UNTO THEM, WHEN I SHALL take away THEIR sin."

In Acts 1:7, just prior to His ascenscion back unto the Father, the little flock had asked Christ, "Lord, wilt thou AT THIS TIME RESTORE AGAIN the kingdom TO ISRAEL?"

Well, here, in Romans 11, is the understanding of His answer to them, as to "the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in HIS OWN power" as to said restoration again.

After the fullness of this Gentile salvation be come in, He will return to come out of Sion, and those of Israel who "abide not still in unbelief," He "shall graff... in AGAIN."

You posted all of this to show you don't understand Romans 9-11??? Because that's what youre showing.

Paul annihilates what you're thinking by quoting Hosea 2 in Romans 9:23-26
23 And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory,
24 even us, whom He also called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles.
25 As He says also in Hosea, “I will call those who were not My people, ‘My people,’ And her who was not beloved, ‘beloved.’”
26 “And it shall be that in the place where it was said to them, ‘you are not My people,’ There they shall be called sons of the living God.”

Peter agrees with Paul is 1 Peter 2:9, 10:
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
10 for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

You definitely fail to deal with the thrust of Paul's teaching.

Romans 11:25-26

Saint Paul put forth a mystery. A partial hardening has happened to ethnic Israel until the “fullness of the Gentiles. At this point all will be saved.

So what is the fullness of the Gentiles?

I think that Saint Paul is referring to Genesis 48:17-19:

When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him; and he took his father hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head to Manasseh head.

And Joseph said to his father,
Not so, my father; for this one is the first-born; put your right hand upon his head.

But his father [Jacob/Israel] refused, and said,I know, my son, I know; he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great; nevertheless his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.

That final line could be translated as fullness of the Gentiles. It foreshadows how Ephraim (synecdochical for the northern ten tribes) latermixed itself with the nations (Hosea 7:8).

Saint Paul indicates that the Israel/Ephraim identity is mixed with the Gentiles. In fulfillment of the prophecy of Jacob, the sons of of Ephraim have become the ;fullness of the Gentiles; though in a less than noble way. Quite remarkable. For Paul, the only way to restore the lost remnant of Israel is to restore the Gentiles with whom they have mixed. This would explain how the Gentiles have benefited by the received curses of Israel.

It would also explain why Christ told the Apostles to proclaim the Gospel first in Jerusalem, then Judea, then Samaria, and then to the ends of the world. Samaria was the greatest concentration of half-breed; northern Israelites.
The evangelization of Samaria is the fulfillment of the restoration of Israel; whether they be half-breeds or not. It is also noteworthy that both Peter and John specifically came to Samaria in order to impart the Holy Spirit via the sacrament of Confirmation (Acts 8:14-17).

I don't equate 'times of the gentiles' of the Olivet and 'fullness of the gentiles' of Rom 11.

The Gentiles are already FULL PARTAKERS of the grace of God.
The "Fulness of the gentiles" came in 2000 years ago.

Revelation 6:11 is interesting.
Nations could also mean the 2 nations of Israel [Israel and Judah], and the 12 tribes [which are mentioned in Revelation...]

Here it mentions the Saints who were killed should be resting until the fullness of their fellow servants and brethren were being killed.
Could their be a connection?

Yes, logical.

The ‘times’ are a feature in both Old and New Testaments. Most of the Old Testament concerns what I call, ‘The Times of Jacob.’ This is implicit in a sabbatical count of years from when Jacob’s name was changed to ‘Israel’ until Messiah. It is explicit in the prophecy of Daniel when he states, “Seventy (more) weeks are determined for your people …” (I added the word ‘more’ because there were four sets of 490 years between Jacob and Christ)

When the ‘times’ allocated to Israel culminated in the New Covenant, ‘The Times of the Gentiles’ began. Jesus alluded to it when he exclaimed, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. (Mark 1:15) We don’t have a sabbatical count anymore to measure the ‘The Times of the Gentiles’, but presumably they also are “determined.”

So, to get back to the opening post, the scripture is saying that the Jews are blind to the gospel but, at a time appointed, will have their eyes opened to Jesus. We have seen revivals among nations every so often through history. Evidently, it will happen again in Israel. I hope we see the day!
