Are you gey?!? Anyhow, to be serious,
I consider myself Bi, although at this point I seem to be more attracted to men than women.

I'm fairly varied. I enjoy most anything but rap. I tend to prefer Musical Theatre ( yes I know, stereotype alert) and pop. I play classical music like chopin, and have recently started singing some opera. But I also really like Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Nickelback, Lifehouse, Three days grace, etc. Celine Dion, Josh Groban, and Mariah Carey are my favorite vocalists.

Anything with Sandra Bullock in it! Drool! Je l'adore beaucoup! Lord of the Rings, Interview with the Vampire (basically any vampire movie I like), Anything Marvel.

Is this a yes or no, or did you want examples? Um, Matt Bomer and Nick Auger (best looking man on the planet IMO)

Any bi tendencies?
Yes, ironically I find more types of women attractive than men, even though I'm more drawn to men. But I have huge crushes on Sandra Bullock, Kate Beckinsale, Angelina Jolie (pre-anorexic days), Reese Witherspoon, Charlize Theron, etc.

What does messianic mean exactly and how does it differ from christianity/judaism?
Messianic refers to Jews who have accepted Jesus as the Messiah - aka Yeshua 'haMesiach. Essentially, the modern day equivalent of the Apostles. I was raised under reform Judaism, studied in Hebrew school until about 8, and had a conversion as a teenager to Messianic. I'm not much of a practicing Jew, but typically Messianic Jews are much more like standard Jews than Christians. They usually go to a Messianic Synagogue, chant in Hebrew, read the Torah, etc. They just understand the Tanakh to have forecasted Yeshua as the promised King of Israel, where as regular Jews are still waiting for the Messiah. Messianic Jews (those born to a Jewish mother anyway) are quite rare. Only approximately 200,000 of the 15 million Jews in the world identify as Messianic. And of course, we get flack from both sides - Jews for betraying our heritage and accepting Jesus, and from Christians for "killing" Jesus.
I've never really felt like I fit in on either side.

Jase, how has your family responded to your conversion? And are they practicing Jews or not so much?

My family for the most part has been perfectly fine with it. My parents are fascinated that I know so much about religion, considering they never really raised me with a strong religious background.

My mother is Jewish, Dad is Christian - neither are practicing. My aunt is probably the only one in the family who is somewhat religious, although all my family is Reform, so they don't practice very strictly. But she does have a seat at Synagogue, and goes to shul at least on the Holidays.

My great grand parents on my mom's side came to the US directly from Russia, so they were probably fairly religious - although I never met them.

Why do Christians dump on Jews...well, at all, but I'm particularly wondering why they dump on Jews who convert, even *after* they've converted?
No idea. Some (many) Christians still hold ill will to Jews for turning Jesus over to the Romans (ironic since, had they not done so Christians wouldn't exist, and they could have only done it if God allowed them to). Regardless, crucifixion was a roman execution method - so Jews never actually killed Jesus.

It is quite baffling that people who worship a Jew as their Savior can be so antagonistic to modern Jews. Look at Mel Gibson as a perfect example. Devout Catholic who hates Jews, as does his father.

I know it's a personal question, and I wouldn't blame you for not answering. I'm just curious (and concerned) why you would feel that way.
Due to my struggles with my orientation. For one, I'll always be condemned or stigmatized on some level due to it, which makes me very uncomfortable, and two, I'm just not sure I'm cut out for relationships. I have intimacy fears.

Good for you. I never had the coordination for piano or other keyboards. I did play saxophone for most of middle and high school band, and my band director taught me how to play (as it were) tuba because he was lacking tuba players. I was better at both than piano but not really that good.

I have been off and on working up the nerve to buy a doumbek, a Middle Eastern drum, and maybe teach myself how to play it. It might be fun. The complication is I live in an apartment and the neighbors might not appreciate it lol.

Voice Although I just started that - Piano is what I'm best at.

If you could join any band, either on piano or even singing, which band would it be?

Hmm, that's a tough one. I've always wanted to be a Backstreet Boy
I'm trying to pursue musical theatre, so that would be the style I would go for (for voice anyway). Piano I'd probably prefer playing in the orchestra of a broadway show.

If I had to pick a typical "band" - maybe Linkin Park, Maroon 5, or Lifehouse.
