“For a man, , is the image and glory of God” (1 Corinthians 11:7)
“Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts,
The whole earth is full of His glory.” (Isaiah 6:3)

Present-day Glory
To illustrate His glory of creation before us that we digest daily, while commonplace in that some of us are more appreciative than others, are really inconsequential remarks to His glory. Simply take for instance the common pear, while sometimes strikingly similar in color and shape to some gourds, we are still able to see the glory of each since the day of creation.
The Travail of Marvel
Most of us steeped in the time-honored critical eye (57-yrs), know when an image’s glory gives way to being a marvel. Excellence, therefore, for most of us is a slow road unless of course early on, we find ourselves filling the shoes of being a child prodigy artist to the rest trailing, not far behind rising above the fray with relative ease.
Whichever the case and however we land on that chosen sweet-spot mix of theory and technique, the embattled intent of attraction is generally what the workman has in his sights. Only those who refuse to attach some effort of visual appeal to not tamper with their unique ideology and identity would be the exception.
Otherwise, this inner knowledge of the artist at large is, from time-to-time slapped with a contagious inspiration by what the eye beholds in the excellent work of another. I personally have seen this cover the spectrum, from abstract, to color-bound and/or painterly impressionistic, to flawless photorealism to the calligraphic lines and reductions of posterization, the master craftsman’s design and execution should never be underestimated on just how captivating critical handling can result in.
Take for instance that first verse: “, ,the image and glory of God”. I find it comical upon the industry, Bodybuilding, of having achieved the height of wonder of the human anatomy. I wonder (though the industry itself has painted itself into a corner of the most developed physique wins), how many of these athletes have subjected themselves to the subject of optimum development coupled with optimum proportion.
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light (Matthew 6:22)
While I think optimal proportion is achievable, there is no substitute for the glory God rewards us with. Still, if one is willing to admit, however rapid or patient one’s work is processed, I am convinced, such a mix could be applied to a number of visual aspects and that window of marvel’s success runs concurrent with one’s ability to tweak in a more fluid, or graduated fashion.
Overwrought? Would love to hear your take or insights! Thanks for looking!
