  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

2 Corinthians 6:14&15

[Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15What harmony is there between Christ and Belial[b]? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

Is it a sin to befriend an unbeliever?
I have a good friend who is a Muslim. He respects my beliefs and we have no conflict. He certainly is not a bad influence on me. Is this friendship and others like it, sinful?

I know you have to be very careful who you socialize with. I understand your concern because you make it very clear that he is your friend. But you said it best when you stated the scripture, What fellowship has light with darkness? If it were me and I had a friend that did not believe in the truth whole truth and nothing but, I don't know if I could have fellowship. Not to be ugly. You just have to be careful because satan is on the prowl all the time. he is looking for every moment and opportunity to bring anyone down. God may have put him in your life for a reason. You may be able to bring him to a place where you are. God through you can perform many miracles. I would just pray about it and ask the Lord for His direction. God Bless You, I hope you have a wonderful day..

BP, in a word my answer is "NO" You do need to be cautious that you do not loose sight of what you believe and in whom you have placed your trust. Talk to God and he'll talk back at yah. Look at Christs example, he was often found in the worst kinda company partying quite happily with them. Yet he remained true to His purpose and calling. If you can do the same, then I say go for it. Be the light in the darkness, spread the word as the Spirit leads and in the end he'll have no excuse for not coming to a saing knowledge of Christ.
