Future Washington BigWig and current son-in-law of Dinesh D’Souza, Brandon Gill lately of Texas’ 26th Congressional District, sort of introduces a bill, (HR 1790], titled

H.R.1790 - To require $100 notes to include a portrait of Donald J. Trump, and for other purposes.

No word on when the text of HR 1790 will be filed, but we get the gist.
Will 18th century autodidact polymath B Franklin be allowed to pay homage (and remain on the currency) to Trump upon said note?

2 cosponsors TX 22nd Nehls, and CO 4th Boebert.

I seriously doubt that it will even pass in the House, but it would be interesting on who votes for it.
It getting out of committee would be an achievement seeings as how the title is all that there is (for now).

Yeah. That won’t happen.
Just a “small run”?
C’mon, say 31 million notes?
Then we can go back to the old-fashioned bill.
The President could hand them out as souvenirs!
Wouldn’t that be swell to hand Donald J Trump a limited supply of something that he could control, totally?
(The secondary-market would be killer!)

I say go for it, it’ll keep him happy and we could all get a nice chuckle over how efficiently this gets done.

There's about 3 billion $2 bills still in circulation. I used to get them every year on my birthday from my dad's workplace growing up.

You don't see them that much anymore because they aren't produced anymore.

That would be an interesting experiment, I assume they would fade and go away quickly. I bet many people would deface them, which is apparently a crime. Or so I've been told.

Of course, there is one problem here:

31 U.S. Code § 5114(b):

United States currency has the inscription “In God We Trust” in a place the Secretary decides is appropriate. Only the portrait of a deceased individual may appear on United States currency and securities. The name of the individual shall be inscribed below the portrait.

-- A2SG, so they may have to wait a bit to pass this particular legislation.....

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Trump won't see it happening anytime soon. If ever.

Unless they change the law, Trump will never see it happen, even if it does.

-- A2SG, but I'm sure he appreciates the effort from his loyal toadies supporters....
