A few years ago
I was watchin T.V
And somethihn popped up
I thought I'd never see,
Two big buildings crashing to the ground.
Some men lived
and some men died
but the ones who lived
broke down and cried
"Why cant America wake up and see that...
Freedom aint free
It's bought at a price
For you and for me
So many men give their lives.
It started with a man
Hanging on a tree
Why cant we wake up and see
that freedom aint free."
There are soldiers out there
risking their lives
to keep us safe
to keep us alive
and so many did that, so many years ago.
Two thousand years ago
when a man gave his life
to make us all free
he broke down and cried
"Cant you understand that...
Freedom aint free
It's bought at a price
for you and for me
so many men give their lives.
It sarted with a man
hanging on a tree
why cant we wake up and see
That freedom aint free."
WE see most our heroes
as celebrities
but the real ones out there
arent on the T.V. screen.
They're fighting our wars
away from their families
so help us God
If we choose to not see
That freedom aint free
it's bought at a price
for you and for me
so many men give their lives
