Here's a thought.

Lets say now that universalists have a home here, that they begin to influence some of the youth, and some of you christians here note it. The youths are being swayed. Pre 777 you could have walked into the middle of it and plainly said "woe dudes, dont believe this, it isnt even Chjristian doctrine, it is complete heresy and these people arent even Christians.

NOW, if you see this happen, you walk up and say this it is suddenly inflammitory and IF we STAND on the word WE will be the ones to be banned for it, so we either stand and be banned for those souls or we sit and do nothing and watch them damn whom they will

What if universalism is true and you're wrong?

By the way, some time ago you said that there already is a forum for universalists here.

So are you saying you do not believe Jesus is the only door? Men can enter in without Him? Jesus Himself said if a man tries to get in any other way he is a thief and a robber.

As for the universalist sub forum, this was NOT here until AFTER 777 changes

I really would like an answer if you dont mind star. I'm not trying to be beligerant, but if i dont present the gospel i am accountable, and if you dont accept the scriptures, not my interpretation, but the scriptures, the words of Christ Himself proclaiming He is the only way, my friend you are not saved

In the andy griffith show something like that may work lol I see you are atheist, and i dont say this as an attack at all, only that youve likely not had experience debating Universalists. They have a very appealing schpeil, and many people that dont know the bible very well fall for it, and their debate is so circular that they cant even see the corner you are putting them in with scripture. When you point out the scriptures they claim "that wasw translated wrong" or "it wasnt in the original manuscripts". Now i happen to be in a position that i can prove they WERE in the original manuscripts, however comapring ancient manuscripts, over 5255 of them is a tedious task, complicated, and lets face it a young unlearned person generally will not take the time neccessary to go through these things. It is MUCH easier the universalist way.

If ONE soul is lost here, I personally dont want to have their blood on my hand and it is for THIS reason, I stand.

THEN, we have the issues of integrity. Erwin is a business man. What if he makes a contract and breaks it? Can he just write it off or will he be held to good ethics even if through a court of law? What if You go to work all week and at the end of the week your boss dont pay you? Can you trust that man?

People here were promised the creed would stay and they were promised the majority would rule on the name change and it was 60-40 in favor of keeping Christ in the name.

Actually, many universalists believe that Christ is the only way.

You guys need to stop limiting God to your interpretations of the bible. He exists outside of your interpretations and outside the bible itself. Knowledge of God can be gained outside of the bible. He reveals and shows himself in the real modern world at this very moment, and maybe he's doing some of it right now by testing us to see if we really can reach out to others in a christian fashion- you know, letting your light shine and all that jazz.

Were there an actual universalism subforum, I'd guarantee their members would treat you a lot nicer than you're treating them. Why bother being nice and convincing someone there's an alternative to hell when they're destined for it anyway?

How come the name changed when option 2 won by almost a hundred votes?

Has anyone noticed that the christian jokes section has been renamed clean jokes? Maybe it's just me but it seems like anything "christian" is being removed one piece at a time.

to be honest, to me the forum name "Christian jokes" sounds like jokes about Christianity... I guess that's why it was changed.

As for the two options, the whole community was undecided, because it was something around 45% against 55%... that's a very small difference.

Christian principles like compassion, love for the stranger in our midst, dealing with others as we would like to be dealt with. Or perhaps simply putting the following into play.

That's still the majority though is it not? But I know, I know, it's Erwin's site and he can do what he wants with it regardless of our input. I guess I just thought he was going to act based on the outcome of the pole.

how are these Christian principles ?

the principles you have mentioned can be and are carried out by any group of men > Buddists , Agnostics , Pagans , Mormons and Atheists will demand that you show them more respect and stop this division by saying these "principles" are "Christian" , this will be viewed by many as simply pomposity and elitism ......
