  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm proud to announce that, by prayer and faith, God has softened my heart and spirit to the point where grudges that I've been nursing for decades have vanished like a vapor. Life gets better as I grow closer to Him. I actually look forward to the future with hope and anticipation. I haven't always been able to say that.

For those of you having a hard time forgiving, ask God to help you in the process. Jesus said in The Beatitudes that anyone who thirsts for spiritual improvement would be quenched. He's right.

Praise God, I'm happy for you.

God is amazing in how he can change us. Every time I start to think, "that person will never change" I remember that I used to be an introvert too afraid to share my thoughts with strangers for fear of being laughed or yelled at.
