I'm not exactly the most open and friendly person on the Singles forums (mostly because I'm on the defensive and I have my 'Grrr! Serious Face™' on 99% of the time), so I figured that making one of these might make for a more relaxing, easy-going conversation where you guys can get to know me better. Ask, and I shall answer honestly. I have nothing to hide.

Do try to keep it light-hearted, though. If you do ask something serious, though, keep in mind I'll still share my views/opinions, but I won't debate it. I'll simply agree to disagree. If you wanna debate with me (even then I still don't like to debate), let's take it to the Singles board and keep it out of here, kthx.

Eh, it's mixed feelings so far. Sometimes I feel like I'm right at home here. Other times I feel like I need my riot shield and shotgun ready in case someone has the sudden urge to attack me for my beliefs.

As for what I do for a living, college. I'm a Sophmore (or Junior, depending on the campus and number of hours) majoring in Sociology. I wanna try to take it to a Master's/Phd and do overseas humanitarian work in Asia. Asia as in all of it.

Not really. I've never been too keen on reading books, and when I do read books, they're usually non-fiction and based on various topics regarding my major in Sociology.

I lean more toward pizza as my fav food. I have so many favs that it could be considered a close tie for a lot of them. However, pizza wins out most of the time.

Music? I'm big into heavy metal. I listen to a few other things that aren't metal, but for the most part, just metal.

Eh, I'm not much into movies. When I do watch them, though, it's a toss-up between comedies, sci-fi, and horror.

Nope. Never have. Closest I got to a big rig is riding in one.

My fav funny picture...I've seen a lot of them, but I think my favs have to be the ones with misogynist themes. I'm not a misogynist, mind you. However, a lot of "feminists" have labeled me such because I have very high moral and ethical expectations of both men and women and they convienently forget the part about me having those expectations for men, as well. I just post those images up to get a rise out of them, since they're not going to take the time to get to know me better anyway. :v

I didn't have any, no. I basically stayed in my dorm room, studied, did some gaming, washed clothes, ate...that's pretty much it.

As to why I'm angry, I don't mind you asking. It's not so much angry as I am disillusioned with people. There's some anger involved but it's mostly disillusionment. I guess I had my expectations too high when I came to college, especially living on the dorms. I thought the university would provide a better social atmosphere, more maturity than what I encountered at the community college I went to previously.

Of course, like most times when I have my hopes up too high, I become disappointed when said hopes are the opposite of what I hoped for. I think I have more of my dad's personality, as my way of thinking is similar to his. He's not social at all because in the past, people and social situations disappointed him. I've pretty much taken his advice to heart now and I don't have high hopes and/or expectations out of people and/or social situations. The only high hopes and high expectations I do have is for myself.

I guess I was just expecting too much out of this university I'm going to now and, like many times in the past, it's left a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm disillusioned by people in general, not to mention just a touch angry, though I'm more angry at myself for letting my guard down like that and allowing myself to get burnt in the process.

It's okay. At least all I have to worry about now is an education. I don't have to worry about or bother socializing now that I know it's not the kind of social setting I'd like to be in. It's one less thing for me to get stomach ulcers over due to stress.

Well, at least I get to go home today from the dorms. I may have less internet access because of it (I'll probably have to use the commuter college's internet, which is closer to my home, if I want a fix), but if it means getting away from the craziness over the summer so I can recuperate for the fall, then I'm all for it.
