  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please say a prayer for my nephew, Andrew. He is having a second operation tomorrow (2/8). Please pray that there will be no more cancer. Also for a good recovery. This is a major thing with a long (10-12 weeks) recuperation, so he will need the comfort of Our Lord.

And, if it should be that there is still some cancer in his body, please pray that chemo will erradicate it completely.

Thanks all.

Father we come before you in the name of Jesus on behalf of Andrew.
Lord we ask that you would touch his body with your healing touch. We ask that you guide the surgeons hands and that all cancer would be gone.
But Father more than that we pray Your will be done, because we know Your will is perfect in everyway.
Please be with Andrew's family and hold them close during this time of illness. Pour out your spirit of peace and comfort on all involved.
This we pray in the precious name of Jesus.
Amen

Thank you all so much. Andrew came through the surgery. He's in alot of pain, but that is natural. The surgeon said it "looked good", but we won't know for certain if the cancer has not spread until the pathology report comes back. Five to ten days.

I am praising God for what the doctor said, and praying that the cancer is completely gone from Andrew's body. I will update more when I know.

Again, thank you all. And Badfish, I've prayed for you and your wife.
