• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Everyone... I just got a message from missionary1's son, that he past away January 1st... He was such a strong person and a man of great faith of the Lord. I got to talk to him a lot before this... and I know what a great man he is. He is one person on here that really gave me hope and he just served God so much on here despite what he had gone through... It is bittersweet in a way because in one light we will never get to hear his wonderful words of encouragement and faith anymore... but in another light... He is with our Father in heaven... if anyone wants to talk about this or share how missionary1 touched their life, please share. Not only will it comfort his son but it will also strengthen us...:( Please pray for his family for I can just imagine what it is like to lose a father as great as him... Forever in Christ. Lily00

May God grant unto Him according to his righteousness. He's in for A LOT in heaven. :)

He will be missed.
Yeh. I wish I could have spoken to him again though. I didn't even know he was sick or anything and now he is gone... He was a great friend. I guess I'll have to wait until heaven to say hi again... I don't know why I feel so bad when I just joined here like a month ago. I developed a close bond with all of you here though. Lily00:angel:

He was a very learned and wise man. He has sown a lot. I only seen him on here a few times but he seemed to have an answer to everything. I had no idea he was ill either. But even in his illness he still helped out whatever way he could. What an example he is too all of us! Rejoice, he's about to reap what he had sown.

Although I did not know missionary1's son, I did know missionary1 through a thread I posted a few weeks ago about a slump I was in. I am so sorry to hear about his son passing away. That's horrible and I feel that is probably the most aweful pain in the world - a parent losing a child. I pray for missionary1 and his family that no matter what, our almighty Father is with them, healing them and giving them comfort and understanding during this rough time.
Missionar1, like I said, is a wonderful man of God. During that post, he was the first who replied back and he kept up his words of encouragement. He prayed that I will be given the motivation to stop procrastinating, have more energy, and combat my depression while on medication (which makes me tired). After he said that prayer, he told me to enjoy my newfound freedom and to not doubt that my life changing experience would be only from Christ. Miracously, a few days after he prayed that prayer for me, I got this sudden burst of a get-up-and-go attitude. I was being more organized and energetic, getting more of my daily activities done. Whereas before, I would put them off. I was feeling so good about myself and felt nothing was holding me back. It was all because of missionary1's prayer and the other heartfelt prayers of others on this site. I am so glad to have found you guys and be able to communicate with you, give prayer and receive prayer during all the struggles of this life.

God Bless you all and
Thank You Missionary1. My prayers are with you.:crossrc:

TrinityGrace... it wasn't Missionary1's son who passed away, it was Missionary1... He passed away... His son pm'd me and said that on January 1st, his heart failed... It is hard for a son to lose a father as great as Missionary1 was. He use to give me so much advice I needed and he pm'd one time and we just supported each other... Missionary1 is now with God, we should pray for his son... :prayer: Lily00

Oh I misunderstood your post. So sorry about that. That's such horrible news, however, we have know that he was a holy man and is now with our Lord. For that we should be happy because he is in a better place and is not feeling any more pain. He really did inspire me to hear God's calling, to just get up and go. I will always remember his loving posts and his priceless advice. His legacy makes me want to improve myself more. God bless Missionary1. I will definitely pray for his son and whole family.

Dear Lord,

Please be with the family of missionary1. Send them comfort and healing at this time. Remind them that he is with You and they will reunite again.

In Jesus' precious name,

Amen
Thanks TrinityGrace. I really liked Missionary1. He really seemed to light up the room. I don't know why I took this so hard, I never really thought about losing someone from forums but I did, but I know that he is with God. Thanks. Lily00

Requiem Softly

It's ok to take a rose from my bed;
The roses intended for me,
I shall never know.
I am only here in your heart..
Whispering gently.
Time will nurture your sadness,
Requiem softly to memorize,
Thoughtfully to comprehend,
And lovingly to embrace and mend...
It's ok to cry,
With your eyes or deep inside...
Then tenderly claim your memories,
Because my body commited to this earth,
Simply released my spirit to rebirth.
