CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wow those are some lovely shots ladies! I love taking photos of flowers because they are so colorful. Thank you for sharing your photos with me. This was the first time that I took photos of my flowers. My cousin told me that I was crazy for taking photos of flowers. Continue to take photos because you both have an eye for a good photo shot. I just love photographing flowers! I recently got an awesome shot of a ladybug. Just awesome!
One hint I have learned, at least with the camera I am using. It offers auto focus with the macro, however for extreme closeup shots it seems to jump to the backround for focus instead. I put my hand in front of the lense and it re-focus' nicely after removing my hand. My sony is a great camera but I have been told I need to jump up to an 8 mp to sell my shots.

It's so nice to see what God's created. His presence is shown through the world around us. I feel like singing 'My Offering' by Nichole Nordeman! 
I was out walking the dog after a nice rain a couple days ago and took some shots of the flowers in our front yard. Some of them came out quite nicely and I saw this thread and just had to contribute.
P.S. These pics were all taken with my cell phone and haven't been enhanced in anyway.
I like the first one (far left) best. What do you all think?

Those are some nice shots coming from a cell phone camera! My cell phone campa produces lousy closeups!
For some reason flowers look so nice when they are wet with dew or rain.
Yes, I will post the ladybug, but I need to add a watermark.
I think it is an awesome pic! I have several other bugs, snails, slugs and spiders in my collection as well. I am hoping to sell a few shots to some stock photography groups.

Just about each time I take a photo, I say a prayer before snapping the photo that GOD will bless the forthcoming photo with the beauty I see in person - to be remembered through my efforts and bless other's lives.
I can not imagine a better way to work within photography!
