April showers are bringing May flowers... And hummingbirds! Here is the scene of my front porch....

These perennials have been in my grannies (now my) yard as long as I can remember. Any ideas to what they are? They are very good flowers and have bloomed pretty year by year.

It's a beautiful porch isn't it? I wish houses were built with porches like that here in the UK

I love it! BTW, I planted these flowers for hummingbirds 3 years in a row. I never saw any hummingbirds.

This year I'm not spending money on them!They won't come. Last year I added a hummingbird feeder; it attracted a butterfly and a wasp. I don't like wasps.

For years they weren't building houses with porches in the U.S. Then about twenty years ago I was seeing porches again. I love porches, but I wanted a porch swing and I can't have one because there's no beam to hang it from.
