I said the earth has been in existence since 4004 BC.
The more you argue against that, the more you're going to confuse yourself.
And others.
Why do I need to create a link to every post you make where you mentioned embedded history?
I think that seeing age as nothing more than an noun is pretty short sighted.4. Age is also a noun, and nouns can be embedded into other nouns.
Let's take this slowly then.
So, if the Earth has been in existence since 4004 BC, the Earth was created 6025 years ago. Is that a true statement, yes or no?
I think that seeing age as nothing more than an noun is pretty short sighted.
I'm pretty certain that my and your own decades of life experiences is not a noun.
That's because with age comes life experiences.
Yes.
So if the Earth has been in existence for 6025 years, does that tally up with dinosaur bones dated to be from 65 million years ago?
Good progress.
So, if those numbers don't mesh (6025 years vs 65,000,000 years) then one must be wrong, since the latter cannot exist in the same time frame as the former? Yes or no.
Before I answer this, I'd like to know what dinosaur bones have to do with the Creation Week.
Now to answer your question: I believe your dating methods are flawed. I don't know where the flaws are, but I believe they are flawed.
And a word of caution: If you continue along this side-issue of what transpired after the Creation Week, you're going to get confused.
Just an FYI: For American Indians and I believe most indigenous cultures, they experienced everything, trees, animals, rocks, mountains..ect...as Verbs. That's also my spiritual trajectory as a Panenthesit. So where you say noun I say verb. You can't embed verbs into nouns, no matter how good your sight is.
Unless, of course, you want gerunds.
Yes I'm certain of my life experiences. Are you equally pretty certain that you and I both GREW as old as we are now (I'm 67), and didn't have our ages embedded into us?
For something without history, it's that history of the Earth from which the geologist are able to find the oil and other minerals that we use.And life experiences leaves behind a trail of history.
But embedded age does not.
It is maturity WITHOUT HISTORY.
So, if those numbers don't mesh (6025 years vs 65,000,000 years) then one must be wrong, since the latter cannot exist in the same time frame as the former? Yes or no.
As applies to dinosaur bones, YES.
For something without history, it's that history of the Earth from which the geologist are able to find the oil and other minerals that we use.
Now you see why people, such as myself, easily and readily call your 'embedded age' stuff 'fake history'. Because two things that contradict each other cannot exist at the same time. It is impossible to explain a 14.5 billion year old Earth in light of the claim of a 6025 year old Earth. It does not work.
And unlike you, I refuse to accept the idea of my God being deceiver and him putting fake history into the world to fool us.
Thanks for the QED.
This is totally 100% what it's about for me and why I reject AV's argument. And unlike you, I refuse to accept the idea of my God being deceiver and him putting fake history into the world to fool us.
I mean, we could both be 100% wrong on this and only find out either on Judgement Day or when we die.
I'll still call your claim a nonsensical belief though since I can't see why God would do such a thing.
This is totally 100% what it's about for me and why I reject AV's argument.
I'd say part of the reason you reject it, is because you don't understand it.
But even if you did, I still think you would reject it on principle.
