If someone has produced a model, or explanation, of how the solar system works, I am certain they would have tested it to see if it is true, or correct.
Anyone presenting something and making claims that could be disproved, and/or did not stand up to scrutiny, would be criticised and probably never taken seriously again.

My explanation does not make it true, evidence makes it true and there is plenty.

However, the explanatory power of the standard model cannot be denied, even though you still try. On the other hand, your flat earth models are good for nothing, they cannot deal even with the most basic things like sunsets, eclipses, skies, satellites etc.

Just like you can't prove there is a flat earth.

People, on this, and other threads, have suggested things that you could do that would show that the earth is curved - like looking through your telescope for certain constellations/planets. Or climbing a cliff and looking at a ship on the horizon. I can't remember all of them.

You don't want to do those. Of course you don't - you have already stated your position that the earth is flat and that nothing will make you believe otherwise. If I remember correctly, the OP talked of a final experiment to prove the shape of the earth, and you said you would be following it with interest. Supposing it proves what the majority of people already know, that the earth is indeed a globe? Will you accept those findings or admit that you have made a mistake or changed your mind? ( I once read that to admit we have made a mistake just means that we know more today than we did yesterday. )
Or will everyone involved be corrupt liars and putty in the hands of Satan?
I'm no prophet, but I think I can guess the answer.

I can't argue that one because I don't know anything about it. But then neither, I suspect, do you.
That doesn't change the fact that the earth is a globe.

You can't even prove otherwise. And any photos you see from first-hand witnesses, you dismiss as fake and everyone involved as deluded.

The Bible is not a science textbook - did anyone ever tell you that?

IF they were making what they thought was a scientific statement, they could only do so with what they knew. They didn't have aeroplanes, drones, powerful telescopes etc. then.

And "immovable" does not mean "flat."
You have a firm belief in something which you can't prove, the Bible doesn't teach and which has nothing whatsoever to do with salvation, God, God's nature, his will etc.

You are entitled to believe what you like. I can't see the point, personally, but that's up to you.

What is it anchored to?
What is it rooted in?
What is it riveted to, and who found bolts strong enough to rivet it?
What is it moored to?
How did the writers know it was anchored?
Were they writing a scientific statement about the earth? Because if you think they were, you surely have to acknowledge that their statements would change as people discovered more.
People learn; all the time. I doubt that anyone in Paul's day would have thought that people would one day sit in a long, heavy metal tube and fly off to another country to preach the Gospel. I imagine that if anyone had told them that, one day, people would sit in front of a machine, type words onto a screen, press a button and share the Gospel with folk on the other side of the world, they would have declared it to be a miracle. The Bible doesn't say that these things will happen one day. Jesus said, "go into the world ..." not "sit in front of a computer". Does that mean it's wrong? Of course not. We have learned and developed technology to make sharing the Gospel easier, so we use it.

IF the earth was fixed in the sky - suspended by something; anchored to something else, then scientists today would agree and post pictures etc.
But they don't and it's not.
There is no enormously long chain which anchors the earth to something.
It is well known that the earth revolves around the sun - and takes a year to do so.
It is well known that the earth rotates on its own axis - and takes a day to do so.
That Genesis doesn't say, "then God created the sun around which all planets revolve", does not mean it doesn't happen.
The purpose of Genesis 1 is to say that GOD created - not to give minute scientific details about how he did it.

I hope that you never find yourself talking to non-Christian scientists. They'd destroy your arguments in minutes - and then leave with the impression that Christians are ignorant and don't know what they are talking about.
