That has already been answered and yet again you deflect. The Bible explicitly tells us that the sun rises and goes down. That's very precise language to describe what happens in the morning and evening. You say it circles in and out of sight. That's not what Scripture tells us. You are in error. As you must except that the moon gives off her own light as Jesus said
Search on YouTube for Flat Earth clips, you mean.I do all the time.

But that's not what you're saying. You say it circles in and out of sight (vanishing point). The Bible says nothing about vanishing point. It says the sun rises and goes down - nothing about a vanishing point. You are in error. You contradict Scripture. And that's exactly what it does.
The Bible says nothing about vanishing point. It says the sun rises and goes down - nothing about a vanishing point
That's not an answer, it's just another deflection. Nobody claimed it does. Why didn't God say the sun circles out of sight and back into sight? Why did He tell us that it rises and goes down? The two descriptions are not the same and contradict each other. You say vanishing point, God says rise and go down. Do you disagree with God?So - The Bible says nothing about the earth rotating the sun either.
Why did He tell us that it rises and goes down?
Because it's not a science textbook. So - The Bible says nothing about the earth rotating the sun either.
No, that's not what you say. You say it circles in and out of sight above us. God says it rises and goes down. Your description differs from what God has told us in Scripture. He never says it circles in and out of a vanishing point -never! You spend so much time accusing the rest of us of not taking Scripture for what it says. Yet here you are doing the exact same thing. You are contradicting the very words of Scripture. You are in error.Because that's what the sun does.

Stop deflecting. This has been answered over and over and over again. But you have now changed the words of Scripture by saying the sun circles above us in and out of sight (vanishing point). So what your saying is that the earth orbits the the sun ?
Tell me something, if the sun doesn't circle the heavens, how come the sun stopped for Joshua ?
God says otherwise. He says the sun rises and goes down. You have changed what God has said. This is what you accuse us of all the time. Now you've done it. You are in error.the sun just keeps circling the earth above & as it travels so far out of our line of sight we receive darkness.
It might not literally have been the sun which stopped. From our perspective, the sun appears to move, journeying from one side if the sky to the other. But the sun doesn't actually move; the earth rotates on its axis.So what your saying is that the earth orbits the the sun ?
Tell me something, if the sun doesn't circle the heavens, how come the sun stopped for Joshua ?

Scripture specifically states the sun rises and goes down. You say this:Scripture specifically states that sun stopped. Are you disagreeing with God ?
Are you disagreeing with God?the sun just keeps circling the earth above & as it travels so far out of our line of sight we receive darkness.
Don't be silly.Scripture specifically states that sun stopped. Are you disagreeing with God ?
Secondly, it was Joshua, or someone else, who wrote those words.
Please note, future generations, it was definitely the sun which I stopped. This means it had to be moving; this means that anyone who tells you that the earth moves, is wrong." If God himself had written that and been that specific then all Christians would say that there is Biblical evidence that it is the sun which moves.
But you are contradicting those very words by implying that they really meant “when the sun circled further away and it was dark”Well who wrote these words that @Phil G posted;
“And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.” Genesis 15:17 KJV
“when the sun circled further away and it was dark”
As I’ve said it is hypocritical to insist on a hyper literal meaning for the sun stopping and then insist that it always circles above and that darkness is caused by the sun being further away.
It only exposes your unwillingness to face reality.
Aristotle provided observational evidence for a spherical Earth around 330 BC.During the Middle Ages people believed the Earth was flat.
When Columbus lived, people thought that the Earth was flat. We were taught this in school and as I know now, we were also taught a bunch of lies.
