  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What has God been teaching you lately?
That just because you ask for something, doesn't mean He's going to miraculously give it to you.

What are three of your strengths?
Listening, caring, thoughtfullness.

3 of your weaknesses?
Fear, anxiety, avoidance.

What advice would you give a single person wanting to be married?
I know it's difficult to wait on God's will, but it will be so much better if you do. And while you're single put your free time into a ministry of some sort, so you won't feel so lonely.
"Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!" (Psalm 27:14)

What advice would you give a sick person wanting to be well?
Go to the doctor and pray.

What advice would you give to a dying person who wants to live?
"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?' "
(John 11:25-26)

What advice would you give a married person who wants to be single?
Unless you have just cause to divorce, don't. What you should really do is bring this to the Lord, and ask His will in this matter. Go to counseling to heal and reconnect with your spouse. Marriage is serious and life long, it's a covenant before God. It's not something you should think of lightly, or break for some petty reason.

What advice would you give to someone with a broken heart?
Take your precious broken heart to the Lord. For He is truly the only one who can make new what was once broken.

What advice would you give to someone who is lonely?
We are all lonely at some time or another, but thanks be to God, for He will never leave you. Trust in Him to always be there, and lean on Him.
"Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and He shall say, here I am." (Isaiah 58:9)

What advice would you give to someone who was unsure of their calling?
Seek God's will in this matter, for God knows you better than anyone, and He knows how best to use your talents and skills.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Do you like giving advice?
I do.

Do you like receiving advice?
Most of the time.

What is the worst piece of advice someone gave you?
Just get over it.

What about the best?
Trust in the Lord.

What do you plan to study when you go to PBU?

I'm going to be majoring in Biblical Studies. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do as a career, but I do know it's going to be a ministry of some sort.

Wow, that's sooo cool that you're going to PBU in the fall  . I was actually going to transfer there this fall but, after a lot of prayer :prayer: the Lord revealed that He wanted me to stay at my university. Now for the questions...

Who are your favorite bands?

God Bless you in your endeavors! I'll keep you in my prayers!

God Bless

Psalm.

What verse in the bible, has really spoken to your heart lately?

"Whenever I am afraid,
I will trust in You."
-Psalm 56:3-

I have been doing VBS this week, and since I'm afraid of public speaking (I have to do it at the beginning and the end), I have really needed God to help me. And He has :) .

God Bless.

Awesome.
okay, What is something unique about you?
What things have been laid on your heart that you have a deep passion and burden for?

Something unique about me................hmmmmm.
My parents were both in the Marines and based in Okinawa, Japan when I was born. Too bad we moved soon after, because I can't remember ever being there.

My deep passion(s):
Well, I want to adopt a little girl from China someday. Of course, the age requirement is 30, so I have a little while.

Why specifically do you want to adopt a girl from China?

I have a friend whose parents are in the process of adopting their THIRD daughter from China! :) And the two that are already here in America (and have been for a few years) are SOOO precious!!! :)

Well, there are so many girls needing adoption in China due to their one-child rule. It's really sad that they are not held as equals to boys just because traditionally boys take care of their parents when they get old. Plus there is probably more oportunities for a girl over here and also she would get to know about Jesus since we have freedom of religion. It's terrible the Christian persecution going on over there. People have to smuggle Bibles in and secretly hold services in their homes, let alone what they do to you if they find you doing that.
Anyways, I believe God placed in on my heart.
