i don't have a set plan for reading my Bible. i read it pretty much off and on. CF has been a help with reading it more. a lot of the discussions i have been into in the past has lead me to seek the scriptures out a bit more. researching about topics has helped me to read more. certain theologians has played a little part (soon to be a big part i expect.) so really to answer the question...i read it when i want to.

Do you believe in love at first sight???

oh boy. hehe. well i guess i could say yes.

not in the magical fairytale sense. i'm one of those guys that despise dating or trying to find that "special" person in the sense dating someone to get to know them but having one foot in the door and one foot out the door. to be honest i probably take it overly serious.

so in a way i do believe in love at first sight. whether or not the words are expressed really soon or not isn't what i use the proof of love at first sight. but a strong committment to make the relationship work at first sight is kind of the same thing as "love at first sight" in my eyes. can't really know if the relationship will work if one keeps their options open.

are you into sports?if so what kind???

yes. golf and bowling. getting the mood to watch baseball and football again but i'll have till the upcoming seasons to get back into that.

golf and bowling are my loves when it comes to sports.

So... How is life treating you so far?

so far it has been good.

i have been stressed here lately with becoming single again and how the relationship ended. it wasn't the best of endings to say the least. and right at about the same time i became single again, my mother and sister moved out east. so as a couple months ago things were really stressful to say the least.

but i have my own apartment again, i'm getting debt taken cared of, bills taken cared of, i have a decent job, hopefully getting a new position which pays more, i at least go for the interview tomorrow but if i don't get it, it's no big deal. my father and i are getting our relationship back together.

i'm sure i could complain about life, but right now i'm content so complaining would be kind of self-contradicting to say the least.

What is missing in your life (besides a gf/wife)?

direction.

kind of an odd thing to say i suppose but during the relationship i was just in my direction was all towards her our relationship, working out the long distance that we had whether or not i grew fearful of a move, nervous but that was my direction.

and now that is gone, i kind of feel a sense of, what am i supposed to do now? i'm content with living in the here and now. establishing myself being alone, single, supporting myself with bills and taking care of debt but there is more to direction than that i suppose. even though i believe that the future is up in the air because we are only promised today, i do feel a lack of direction currently. direction meaning in the long term of things. kind of like what i said in the thread i created about our flaws, i'm content and open for change, but it's hard for me to descide/use discernment for the right time or anything else.

so yea, direction is what i feel missing, even though i'm content with living in there here and now, i hope over this year, i can find more direction than just the day by day direction. sorry for a long response on that one.

i have ideas in my head, just don't know yet.

What are one of your goals for this year?

get back into playing music again. it's been on my mind here lately how i've kind of over the past serveral years really strayed from it. i've been playing the guitar since i was 13. played in bands with friends. we played at churches, a coffee shop, a Christian rock festival where i grew up (all local, nothing big), a local ministry in my hometown. and over the years, i've strayed from it. i miss it a lot. so this year, i plan on furthing my guitar playing (acoustic right now only).

What do you do in your spare time?

play my ps2, read, listen to music, sometimes i fiddle with my guitar, CF, hang out with friends, when i can, which is rare at times because of truck issues currently but i'm able from time to time, write(either poetry or just ramblings) ranging from theological stuff or just sappy love poems (but my writing style is a bit odd to say the least), watch movies, sleep (i work graveyard so sleep is as precious as gold), play golf when i can, bowl from time to time.

the way i think about my own self in this area is, the lack of direction i feel means i can finally find some.

finger picking style, blues and the band Days of the New were a heavily influence of how i play the guitar.

it's odd tho because i'm a metal head. but when i play music, it's not metal at all. yin and yang i suppose

if golf counts as one, then it has become a passion of mine. i absolutely love it.

writing, philosophy, theology, tattoos(even though i haven't gotten one in about 2 years now so i don't know if it is a passion or not but body art is something i find beautiful), i'm finding a passion for cooking now (not because i'm on my own and single but i'm really loving to cook, even though i didn't make my way to make my spicy chicken the other night).

i still have a passion to reach out to the sub-culture folk. there is a ministry an hour north of me that i'm friends with the pastor who just opened up a tattoo parlor, and it's something that i still would love to fulfill some day, meaning the passion of reaching out to the tattooed sub-culture, or just the sub-culture period of any sort. don't know when i'll be able to get back involved in that ministry just yet, but i plan on it very soon.

ya know, after the Bengals lost the game to the Steelers that was to descide who'd go to the playoffs, i don't even know who is in the Superbowl...lol.

one thing i must say about the tattoo part, i didn't explain that one too well now that i think about it.

it used to be a huge passion for me. then i took a break from it for about 2 years, while i was together with my now ex-fiancee. not because she wanted me to but because the plans were for me to move out there and i wanted to wait before i get anymore till i get my life settled out there.

well that ended, and now it's like, it's coming back. my buddy who i mentioned, keeps on mentioning that i need to get more ink done, hehe.

so right now, it's kind of a passion but not i suppose. tattoos are one of those things that i love but also something that has to be used with discernment too.

so my plans are, when i get them again, get stuff done on my upper arm and work on that and just do this throughout my life. take it step by step. and now that i predict i'll be in this area for quite a long time, i can have only one person do it...hopefully as long as my buddy keeps on tattooing at least.

he's become a very good friend whom i miss a lot. he's got a beautiful family, a really nice wife (gothic but really nice woman) and his kids are absolutely adorable and he has let me stay the night at their place for days, we built his kids bunk beds together and as a spiritual friends he's been a great brother in Christ, so i'd really like to have him do it.

so yea, for the name i have, i'm not like some that just get tattooed with anything. it has to be very specific something i want, because it's going to be on me to my grave.
