  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not the ovulation test. There is a new one out that you take on day 3 of your period that is supposed to let you know if you are able to get pregnant or not. Here's the link . I was considering trying it out, but not sure if it is worth the money. I have a doctors appointment, but they can't get me in until October.

I have tried First Response. I wasn't satisfied with it. I was using it along side the Answer Ovulation kit one month to see how well it worked. The Answer picked up my LH surge and the First Response didn't. I could have missed my IUI had I only relied on First Response.

So, did the OP try it out? For me, I think I'd be a little wary of using one. I'd rather a doctor tell me if I wasn't able to get pregnant, or tell me what my ovarian reserve was. Plus, I'm thinking there's probably a whole lot of women whose test results said they weren't able to get pregnant that gave up hope, when it's possible that it was performed incorrectly or it didn't pick up enough of the hormone etc..

I agree with you. When you think of all the hpt's and opk's that gave wrong results, you know that there has to be cases where those tests were wrong. When in doubt, go see your gyn. Then you know what your options are and exactly what you are dealing with.
