First doctor's appointment in MS

Hey ladies,
Please pray for me, I'm making my first appointment with a DO (Doctor of Obstetrics) and I really need to get in soon. We haven't had insurance since March 31st so I haven't been able to go. Also, with my due date being so close, please pray she has an opening for me. I don't know if it's the same here as it was in VA, but up there the good OBs usually had a month long waiting period before they could squeeze in new patients.

I go at 10AM next Wednesday!! I'm excited, I'm hoping maybe now I can find out why I've been swollen for so long. lol

DO usually denotes an osteopath...is your new doc an MD or a DO??

Osteopath? What's that? Yeah, she's a D.O., I just assumed it meant doctor of obstetrics cause it was the first time I'd seen that. Maybe I should dye my hair blond. lol

It's actually a good thing, in my opinion--as aDO is likely to approach birth more naturally than an MD.

Awesome!! Thank you, Shannon, I really appreciate you showing that to me. I was worried I messed up, but now I'm glad I thought it meant doctor of obstetrics. lol Especially since there aren't any midwifes here, so she's the next best thing.
