Clint and I will be having our 1 yr anniversary on 1/5/2004 and I'd like to know how much is appropriate to send on a gift for just a one year commitment? And what do I get him.......hes a guy they're so hard to shop for.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dance Me to the End of Love
Well, some presents that I have bought for my boyfriend are:
-video games, dvd's
-clothes. ie: boxers, long sleeve shirts
-I have given him money and gift certificates a few times which I would not recommend...takes the surprise out the present
-a silver chain(necklace)
-cologne
-framed pictures of us
-I made him a scrapbook one year
-I bought him a stuffed animal...LOL and he still sleeps with it every night
-a hat
-PJ's and slippers
-I have made him batches of chocolate chip cookies which he LOVES!!!
And I am beginning to run out of ideas as well LOL...I mean there are only so many presents you can buy when you are in a dating relationship.

you might want to get him a nice watch (like a fossil, maybe 60 bucks) then something small that you know he likes (just something extra an nice and cheap)

I do it too, my girlfriend bought me a stuffed animal that I still sleep with every night, in fact, she bought me two, and I sleep with them both . I love the stuffed animal idea. God Bless-

hmmmm well baking would be hard cause i have to send it a to Michigan from Oklahoma..so I thnk I'll go with the watch and stuffed animal idea...and if I have enough $$ I"ll have our initals engraved on the watch...thanks for your suggestiongs

I learned to knit and knitted him a scarf for our 1 year. It really wasn't as hard as I thought it was.

Omigosh, I had so much fun doing it!
I had never knitted before. I went with a friend and bought needles and yarn and her mother showed me how to do it. I wanted to give him the first thing I ever knitted, but I didn't intend it to be a anniversary gift. Then I realized how much the scarf was like our relationship, so I wrote him a letter and put it in with the scarf. He looked like he was about to cry when he was reading it. I think he liked it....
