Finishing a story...

Hey, just wondering does this happen to any1 else???

Ever started to write a stroy, with rich characters, and a brilliant plot, then your life changes and you dont write for a while, and you cant finish the story...
happened to me more than once, what about the rest of ye?

Will a mod please move this so???(what sunstruck dream said)

For the record, this should be out in the general writer's guild forum...

I started one novel years ago and let it go, but it was nothing special - pretty bad, actually. I was quite young when I attempted it. The novel I've written the whole of I love too much to let go. If I don't feel like working on it and can't get back into it, I let it sit for a week or two before I go at it again. But I keep it up, and I keep making progress.
