  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Multi-level marketing is a great way to stimulate growth and small business in our economy. They require a low investment. They are free from the hassles of getting liability insurance, permits, and employees. They also make great investments that do are not subject to fluctuations in the stock market.

But, are all opportunities created equal? I don’t think so. A great opportunity should include a product that has value and will be competitive in the marketplace.

Things have changed a lot since the launching of Amway in the 50’s, one of the founding direct sales companies. At that time, there were no fast food chains, internet, or Wal-Mart; and, their product line didn’t have to compete with the luxury of modern convenience.

Today, multi-level marketers are competing with these conveniences; and, it is important when looking for an opportunity, to consider whether your product will be competitive enough to sell.

Sadly, many MLM product lines are not staying competitive; therefore, people may become disillusioned that network marketing is to blame when nothing could be further from the truth.

The key ingredients in finding a great multi-level marketing opportunity to join are finding a unique product that can’t be found in stores and is affordably priced in order to be a competitive product.

There is no reason for a multi-level marketing company to only offer cosmetics or vitamins when it is very easy to take a developing technology and turn it into an opportunity that other people can become involved in.

For example, as an independent representative in my opportunity I am able to make a difference towards creating jobs and renewable energy for the planet through deregulation; and, joining with a company who focuses on sustainable, renewable, green energy technologies. This opportunity is available regardless of where you live in the country and cannot be found in Wal-Mart. As an added bonus, my opportunity requires no additional investment other than becoming a customer for renewable energy.

In conclusion, it is important to consider whether your product is competitive in the marketplace before joining a direct sales company; and, if you are tired of looking and would like to hear more about my unique opportunity, I would love to hear from you. May God bless you in your business ventures.

No multi level marketing is not a pyramid scheme. It never was true.
It was sometimes true; still is, sometimes.

A pyramid scheme is something that does not have a product to sell.
Or where the actual product is largely irrelevant.

Multi level marketing is much more like owning a franchise.
Except for the actual owning part.

A great resource on the subject is a book called Your First Year In Network Marketing by Mark Yarnell.
Multilevel Marketing | BCP Business Center

Not all multilevel marketing plans are legitimate. If the money you make is based on your sales to the public, it may be a legitimate multilevel marketing plan. If the money you make is based on the number of people you recruit and your sales to them, it’s not. It’s a pyramid scheme. Pyramid schemes are illegal, and the vast majority of participants lose money.

If you’re considering buying into a multilevel marketing plan, get the details.

Right. That is what a pyramid scheme is. Not what a multi level marketing company is. A multi level marketing company is just a multi level sales model. There are many well known brands that are multi level models: Avon, Pampered chef, heritage makers, Gold canyon, etc. Many people who are negative towards MLM do not realize that all of these are actually MLM companies. In conclusion, a pyramid scheme and multi level marketing are not synonomous.

There's a big difference between MLM's and network marketing. MLM's are more often than not pyramid schemes with one person at the top and a lot of little people at the bottom.

Be careful with MLM's because they can get you into a whole lot of hot water with the law real fast.

Network marketing is not to be confused with MLM.

In network marketing, you are selling a genuine/often great product and MLM is usually some bogus product or sometimes even nothing at all.

Network marketing is actually recommend by likes of Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki because you're building a business. They said if they're to start all over again, they'll start with this because 1) learning from your mentors/team leaders 2) you learn how to SELL which is most important skill you can learn in order to be financially successful.

Selecting what network marketing opportunity to go with?

THAT'S the GOLDEN question because there's so many of them these days but somewhere with 1) a SOLID team members you can respect and learn from and 2) not too saturated but on a growth stage of their business cycle because timing is key to make money. check out: just-in-time-management.com/the-7-stages-of-business-life-cycle

BUT, most importantly, you'll need to shift your mindset from "lazy make money without much work" to "hard work and big rewards".

Good luck!

hey there,

How many of us know about Income Funds?

Definition of 'Income Fund'

A type of mutual fund that emphasizes current income, either on a monthly or quarterly basis, as opposed to capital appreciation.

Is that all....?

We always need to maintain a certain level of ready cash.

One of the primary ideas is to avoid parking a large part of your short term surplus cash in a savings account. The savings account pays an interest, but the interest you will receive is generally lesser than the rate at which your money is losing its purchasing power because of inflation. . .

Expenses, on the other hand is spread over the month: therefore a part of the salary proceeds remains idle during the month. If you can park this money in the cash funds (popularly known as liquid fund) – we may earn a better return than if we keep it idle.

The whole discussion of passive income doesn’t end without considering the retired phase of your life. No more monthly pay check from your employer or from your business. Does your expense stop? No – but then an investment in MIP will ensure that pay check do not stop coming. And you enjoy a financially free and truly rewarding life.

I was taught multi-level marketing is a pyramid scheme designed to make the people at the top rich at the expense of the people at the base of the pyramid. Has that changed?

All businesses are pyramids. mlm gives you the ability to get ahead of those who hired (sponsored) you. They are not all created equal that is for certain.

The person that told you that did not know what he/she was talking about.

MLM and a Pyramid scheme is two different things.
