  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Has anyone here read Preston Eby by any chance or have any thoughts/views about him? I know Calvinists would probably like him but not sure. Thanks.

http://www.kingdombiblestudies.org/tablecontents.htm

“KINGDOM” — what a magical ring that word plays upon the ear, yet when it comes to the subject of the Kingdom of God there seems to be no end to the carnal-minded reasonings of man as to what it is, where it is, and how it will come to pass. If you were to ask several average professed Christians what the Kingdom of God is, you would receive a variety of answers. There are a great many ideas, opinions, interpretations, conceptions and mis-conceptions among believers as to what constitutes the Kingdom of God. Vast multitudes of people believe that any minute Jesus will appear in the sky and whisk away (rapture) those who are saved and take them to heaven to enjoy the Kingdom of God. They teach that the Kingdom of God is heaven and that it has no relationship with the earth. For these the “end time” means the cataclysmic end of the universe, the destruction of the earth by fire, the sending of all unbelievers and wicked people to eternal damnation in hell, and the establishing of an eternal order of bliss for the saved in some far-off heaven somewhere.

Others teach that the Kingdom of God is purely earthly, and that it will be a political and social structure enforced on earth for a thousand years at the return of Jesus Christ with His saints to rule and reign. This theory has been popularized by the Scofield Bible. To these the Kingdom of God is the restored kingdom of Israel fulfilling the Davidic covenant. Jesus offered this kingdom to the Jews, but they refused; therefore Christ withdrew His offer and postponed it until a future time when they would accept Him as their King. When that day comes, they say, Jesus will come back and set His feet upon the mount of Olives. His saints with Him, He will come to the eastern gate of Jerusalem. Having been sealed up for centuries, this gate will be opened for Him to pass through into the city. He will then set up His headquarters in a building, sit on a throne, and be crowned King. His Kingdom will then be established. People from all nations will journey to Jerusalem to see Jesus — in person — and to worship Him in a millennial temple there. From Jerusalem the Kingdom will expand to rule over all nations. The nations will quit fighting — will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks and there will follow a thousand years of unparalleled peace, blessing, prosperity, and righteousness.

You would do well to study the KINGDOM of heaven ON EARTH as Gods program with Israel. That IS what it relates to.

As to your fascination with the book of REVELATION...its not about you. It has to do with Israel at a future time.

YOU should be focusing on BODY TRUTHS....things relating to the church, which is His BODY in this present age of GRACE. Pauls epistles are where we find OUR marching orders for today.

As a new believer, its easy to get caught up in all the wealth of information that is out there. The book of Revelation is NOT where its at concerning YOU or your spiritual growth in this age of GRACE.

THAT particular book does tell of future events...but not YOUR future! YOU, if you have trusted in the finished work of Christ at Calvary, will be enjoying heaven when these events take place.

Well, since I am of the Israel of God and believe unto the true Jew that came to both Israel and Judah, I feel that gives me the "right" to study it as an OC Hebrew Israelites would.
After all, Daniel 12 does concern Daniel's people, the OC Jewish Nation and I don't see her Sister Nation, Israel mentioned. ;)

http://www.scripture4all.org/ [Excellent Interlinear, especially for use with Paul's epistles and REVELATION!!!]

Daniel 12:1 "At that time Michael [Reve 12]shall stand up, The great prince who stands [watch] over the sons of your people; And there shall be a Time of Trouble, Such as never was since there was a Nation [Judah], [Even] to that time. And at that time Your People shall be saved [is this the "rapture"?], Every one who is found written in the Book.

IF you are a believer today you are NOT any such thing. YOU would be a member of His BODY as scripture tells you.

Pauls epistles and Revelation are UNRELATED. ONE has to do with PROPHECY and the AGES to come program with Israel, and ONE has to do with Gods PRESENT day program with we the Body of Christ.

You are leaving OUT an entire section of scripture that relates directly to us today, and placing undo emphasis on a book not written TO you or about you.

This is what happens when men trust their own understanding instead of depending on scripture to clear things up.

Please feel free to attend our BIBLE STUDIES LIVE on paltalk on Tues and Thursday eves at 7 PM Central. You will SEE how God intended us to study the Bible by letting scripture tell us what it means. Its fascinating.

For more information...contact myself or Biblebeliever in PM.

I thought that is what we had the Bible was for. ;) I will get the word out to the Cahtholics, Mormons, Messianics, JW's, Baptist, Methodists, Lutherans and those of non-denominational christians like myself.

Which Bible "version" do you recommend we bring to it so we can make sure we have the most accurate Words of God to read by? Thanks.

When we make ourselves alone the criteria for truth, and dont allow ourselves to learn from others study together with them, we set ourselves up for being taken captive by the devil to do his will...many believers today are in that position and dont even realize it.

Come and study WITH us...see what you have been MISSING...trust me..you are MISSING Gods BIG PICTURE in a big way. We want you to SEE it and understand it.

BTW...how can you get the "word out" to others, when you dont know what it IS for you today? Did you ever consider that you are misrepresenting God to others by being misinformed???

That is something we ALL must deal with, isnt it?

Have a nice day.

Well, Jesus kind of told me in John 14:6 and Paul reconfirmed it and so does Revelation. So yes I know what it is today. Peace

http://www.scripture4all.org/ [Very good interlinear, especially for Paul's Epistles and Revelation]

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Revelation 21:6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the Water of Life freely to him who thirsts. :)

We dont come to the Jesus who preached on the EARTH to the Jew alone...but to Christ Crucified, buried and resurrected! The RISEN Christ has the words of OUR salvation and he gave them to Paul for us.

Methinks you preach what Paul warns us of. ANOTHER Jesus and ANOTHER gospel that is NOT the same as what God is presenting today.

It is the same Gospel these "2 witnesses" are preaching to Israel and Judah. ;)

Ezekiel 37:.........10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them [Whole House of Israel], and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great Army/Hosts.
Reve 11:11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw Them.
