CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I joined CF because I've decided to prioritize God in every aspect of life. I have handed over everything, but the internet, where I mostly posted for sports and photography. Well, I realized I was in greater need of God, so I'm here. I pray God uses me as he wills.
I am really enjoying it. I have been on sports message forums for 10 years, so I'm good at building community. I appreciate those who've stopped to interact with the newbie, and I pray I can be a blessing to others.
Color? To wear, blue. Always likes the classic color. But I enjoy Green to view very much.
Music? I'm pretty diverse, though I don't care for country western or most rap (do like some, though). My favorite genre for much of my life is 90's alternative/grunge, but if I put my iPod on shuffle, you'd be just as likely to hear some jazz, blues, Johnny Cash, Tori Amos, Pink Floyd, Damien Rice, etc... Pretty eclectic!
However, I am a huge Rich Mullins fan. My forum moniker is a tribute to a line from his song Calling Out Your Name. I like Hillsong, Shane & Shane, and all the other contemporary classics, but I the earnestness, honesty, introspection of Mullins. Always have. Except for Awesome God. never liked that song. It's an alright song, but it's one of Mullins' cheesiest. His song 52:10 is the same sentiment, and is a much better song in general.

This speaks to the awesomeness of our Lord without God "puttin' on the ritz" or any of that other stuff. Just God, in his might, declaring his holiness and making known his salvation to the ends of the world. Nothing more awesome than that.
