(Philippians 1:21)
I figured out why I have been fighting and lacking progress. I have been the one fighting. Oh the wisdom that comes with recognizing our position. All this time is wasted when we depend on others or ourselves instead of turning to the Lord. I was reading about Jacob the other day. Genesis 32 has a lot to say about being self-aware. We have to realize first who we are with all our faults, recognize that we are powerless and a slave to ourselves and others, then ask God to fill us with His spirit so that He can triumph and defeat the enemy Himself. God does not share His glory: we must step away from ourselves and fight for the affection of our God, not the world or the body of believers.
What good is it to do a deed if it is not founded upon lifting up the Lord? We deceive ourselves with dreams and imaginations of grandeur. Are we not satisfied with our Lord Christ Jesus, nay, we have simply forgotten to die to ourselves DAILY and ask for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. God wills us to take Him in and proclaim the authority He has graced us with BUT we must accept it. Don't try to do thing on your own; don't try to do things with only the help of men but be edified in Christ alone.
We are a peculiar people, because we have the indwelling of the Spirit..."Christ in [us], the hope of glory." We abide in Christ at the right hand of God and He abides in us. God has taught me many lessons and He still has a lot of work to do. Listen to the Lord and wait on Him, actively seeking His face. Glory to God, may His peace and grace be a reality in your life (we already know we have the ability to attain it). May you walk in the ways of Christ always glorifying our Lord Jesus. Amen.
By the mercies of our Lord,
