Dear friends, I trust that all of you are doing well and I’m certainly glad to be back with all of you . We live in so called democracies where everyone has equal rights but the majority opinion prevails. We console ourselves by telling ourselves that that’s just the way things are. The world believes that all religions are the same and that all paths lead to God when we know it’s a lie (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). Perversity is condoned and legalized as “alternate lifestyle” when we know God had and still condemns it (Genesis 19, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Criminals and illegals are rewarded while law-abiding citizens are scorned as greedy thugs and selfish. Illegals would be legalized but investors and legal residents are harassed. Scripture is distorted to mean that the poor and downtrodden are righteous (many wrongly quote Luke 6:20) while in reality it’s the “poor in spirit” who shall inherit the kingdom of God (Matthew 5:3). Confessing and preaching the gospel is condemned as elitism while proclaiming pagan philosophies and religions is praised as tolerance and sophistication.

The Bible clears tells us that we “Christians” are in a minority and the majority will always oppose us (2 Timothy 3:12). Christians are labelled racist, hateful, bigoted, intolerant, illiterate, gun toting war-mongers. Maybe some of the events in recent history may have created this mis-perception among the majority (the crusades in the mid-centuries certainly didn’t help). Unless you have a law or business degree from an Ivy League school you’re a nobody and are not smart. Well, I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S from Virginia Tech, have taught, published and reviewed/edited for 23 years and I’m proud to call myself a Christian because I bear His Name (Romans 10:9). How do we Christians fight back at such “mobocracy” which masquerades as democracy?

Please turn with me to Luke 4:14-29. This is the well-known and expounded passage of scripture narrating the rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ in his hometown Nazareth. The people were furious that He claimed to be God’s Son and the promised Messiah (Luke 4:28). They were so mad at Him that they drove Him to the edge of a cliff to kill Him. But He walked right through the crowd. How was this possible? How could one Man wade through a violent mob? The answer to that is in Luke 4:14. The Lord Jesus was in the “Power of the Holy Spirit.” We can’t take on this world in our strength. We can’t rely on law-enforcement agencies and our judiciaries to help us for there are very few saints in such agencies. The world weeps when a criminal is shot but totally ignore the plight of terror victims. Our help in such times indeed comes from the Lord (Psalm 121:1). The Apostle Paul who was left for dead after a stoning (Acts 14:19) simply got up and walked back into town (Acts 14:10)! Such power only comes from the Holy Spirit.

As law abiding citizens we should use all legal measures to protect our rights. But ultimately none of these may truly help for there is no power that even remotely equals the Power of the Most High. Amen.

Dear friends, thanks for taking the time to read this piece. If you find anything offensive, I apologize for it for I was merely trying to illustrate a few ideas.

I know that all of you are saved and sanctified saints, but should there be among you that haven’t received God’s grace then I pray that you do so today. “For today is the day of salvation…” Amen.

We live in the Kingdom of God. The world is our place of employment, where our job is to let Christ in us transform it. The power of the Spirit has already created most of the great technology we have (have you ever noticed, it ALL started in Christian countries?), and social progress, simply by motivating enough people to believe in what God wants everyone to have, that it became possible. The job is big, but God is bigger, and we have already made some great strides.

Agree brother. But there's plenty left to do and in such short time before the Lord's second coming! Would you believe if told you that we have members in our own families that are yet to be saved. Technology doesn't help much there, only the Power of the Holy Spirit. All the medical technology in the world can't save or bring people back from the dead. Only the Power of the Holy Spirit

Technology does not help, but it proves that our work can have results in the physical world. I agree completely that there is much work to do. That's why I just try to ignore the mob nonsense around me, except for the parts I think God wants me to do something about.

I don't think the bible teaches us to defend our rights, it teaches the opposite actually.

Matthew 5:40-41

But I tell you not to resist an evil person. If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also; 40if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well; 41and if someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two.

A lot of Christians are angry at what is happening in America. I am not saying this applies to you but when I hear Christians talk about defending their rights too often it really is code for finding an "acceptable" way to vent their anger. But it isn't really any different than going out and punching someone in the face in Gods eyes, it is just a passive aggressive way to vent their anger at people they hate.

Rather than defend our rights, I would exhort us as Christians to submit ourselves to the responsibilities that God has placed upon us; to love one another as Jesus has loved us, and to pray for our enemies and those who spitefully use us and persecute us. Have you ever read a book called "Tortured for Christ"? Christians who were thrown into torture camps loved their tormentors and prayed for them, and some of them got saved and ended up in the prison with them. That is what we are supposed to do in the face of evil; not fight evil with evil but overcome evil with good. We are fighting to see that God gets the glory, not for our rights brother.

brother,

Been a minute eh since we last conversed. In hopes all is well with you and yours in God. Do know the following does not hold the meekness and curiosity in this limited format but is the intention for self to learn something of recognizing bad Spirit in myself .

With the above intention clarified, what does righteous anger look like as even Jesus displayed it in Matthew 21:12-13 to a limited flesh? What "in picture" is acceptable "in code" of acceptable behavior as one prays upon 1 John 4:1 and recognizes a dollar kills in my name through a tax that supports murder ? Weather it be Syria or Dakota is it not apparent this verse is manifesting before our very eyes in Matthew 6:24 ? That verse speaks to good conscious vs a dollar and in good conscious how do I support a dollar serving itself in this present reality?

We can use the bible (like above and your post) to remain complacent or take action as we have duality of nature wherein two different views can be seen in scripture to our present realities, right (neither is of evil intent in both views) ? In picture this is a hypothetical yet can be done ...

One takes back their constitution (the people) and removes the amendment that recognizes a corporation as an entity (a person) wherein the big picture view a corporation is a dollar. This stealing of the crux of the constitution has in effect replaced the people/good conscious (You, Mukk-in & me my brother that seek peace) and put the dollar in place of "We the people" to serve itself.

IMHO one can pray on the status quo or attempt to regain the constitution back to serve our neighbor again = The people, right? However, to tighten the microscope upon myself, this is code to display my own anger?

Once again do know this is authored in an opened mind that does not judge "A way" to translate a particular verse applied to self but an honest curiosity of where these verses merge James 4:17 James 1:19-20 James 1:22 and 1 John 4:1 ?

James being Joab the brother of Jesus (all assumptions known of two separate births) one uses Joab as reference to good conscious vs this present reality and as it is seen do I sin in doing nothing or something?

Thanks for sharing brother. My point exactly. The same Lord Jesus who instructed His disciples to turn the other cheek also advised them towards the end of His ministry to sell everything they had to buy a sword to defend themselves because the days of evil were upon them. Christ was neither a pacifist nor a militarist and the Holy Spirit will guide us as to when to turn the other cheek and when to defend ourselves.

Also remember God's Word begins from Genesis 1:1 and the Old Testament wasn't done away with by the Lord but was fulfilled in Him (Don't think that I've come to do away with the law but to fulfill it...). There are times when we should defend ourselves, our freedoms and our God-given rights. The Holy Spirit and not our particular interpretations should be our Guide. Even the Apostle Paul defended himself many times. God bless
