The title pretty much says it all.
Yes or no. Like meaning, find
attractive. Yes this is also a
thread based solely on the physical.

I've seen comments about eye color,
that restricts quite a bit to one race
or another in some cases.

Just a thought.

Also, another observation, I believe,
and I restate, believe that most of
the people on this forum are caucasion no?

Anyhow, time to post.

No, I like lots of different kinds of guys. I used to think that I only liked blue eyed guys. But.... the only guy i've ever dated was not white and has beautiful brown eyes and I find everything about him extrememly attractive. In fact since I've dated him, I'm finding that I'm not really finding white guys as attractive as they once were. I'm white btw. Any ways race doesn't really matter in terms of attractiveness.

I've dated a black guy and I used to really have a thing for black guys but that was moving from a place where they were rare to come by. Now I see them all the time and I'm not really as attracted anymore. Though I seem to attract black guys a lot..something odd I've noticed. When I was in college, like everywhere I went I'd have some random young black guy coming up to me on the street or on the bus and striking up a conversation with me or saying something regarding my looks...why is that? anyways...As far as other races, I dont have any real preferences. Most guys I'm attracted to are white, black or mixed.

I do find men of various races handsome. To me it is not the colour of their skin, nor of their eyes, but the colour of their heart. Are they easy to laugh with, do they have great smiles, do they treat others with respect, do they treat me with respect.... it's definitely not about race or ethnic backgroud. I admire the many colours of God's wonderful creation of man.

Okay, I know I'm not a girl (to whom your question was posed), but I just thought it couldn't hurt to put my two cents in.

Personally, I find myself being attracted pretty much only to young ladies of my own race. I do think there are very pretty young ladies of other races, but it's just not something I, personally, am attracted to (a sort of paradox, I know). This is nothing against other races by any stretch of the imagination, but only an observation about myself concerning who I'm attracted to. I think the main crux of the issue is this: I want someone like myself; bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh so to speak.

Oh, and just F.Y.I., dark skin is dominant in the gene pool. Thus if a lighter skinned person and a darker skinned person get together, odds are that the child will be of the darker persuation. Just a little fact of the day somewhat related to this topic. ;)

Define no. But that may not be the answer that you're looking for- since I'm asian too! ^_^ I think who you find attractive depends on how you grew up- you know, what your environment was like (was it diverse, did you have interaction with other cultures, how your family/friends acted) and where you live geographically. If you live in a very diverse area, you will find a lot more interracial dating because there's a lot more to choose from! YAY!!!!! That's why you'll never catch me in a small backwoods town! :D

I know a TON of people who actually prefer NOT to date within their own culture. Myself and my bf (who is white) included. But I can understand why some people just naturally prefer to date within their own culture- it makes it easier-no one has to explain weird cultural traditions, cultural etiquette, or any other things that a person of a different culture wouldn't already understand.

Oh and about the eye color thing---you could always get colored contacts :p !! J/k

Since I grew up in an area where (at least during my younger dating years) there just weren't many of other races around it just wasn't something I thought about. If I saw someone (TV or movie) that I thought was attractive (physically) I didn't really care what their race or color was. If I were in the dating frame of mind, I highly doubt that it would matter that much to me what someone's skin color is as I'd be more concerned with the kind of person the guy is.

(I will admit to a weakness for blue eyes though lol)

Actually I'm not asian :)
That is cool. Actually,
I find myself wanting in
general to date outside
of my race, but that brings
up another topic. And the
generalization might cause
quite a bit of heat. But
perhaps it is just around here
that things are that way.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and possibly ruin any and all 'reputation' I got goin' here by stating this:

In the past, I'd had this HUGE issue with my own ethnicity (chicana w/ some mixed blood~i.e. a mutt, basically) so I not only 'hid' from who I was, but I also used to state that I'd never marry within my own ethnic group; which is not only ridiculous (as one does not really 'choose' per se, who they fall in love with, by nationality) but just..um...stupid?? {obscure factiod removed} So, now I see it as this...ALL nationalities..people of ALL skin colors are beautiful for the Lord made them as such. I see no one 'race' as more beautiful than another..no skin color any more worthy of adoration than another...love is blind..at least, it should be to a certain extent, no?

Hey this is a thread for me :)

I'm Asian but I'm more attracted to Caucasian or Latino guys. I think it started off a few years ago when I first dated my ex bf who was light brown haired, blue eyes. I discovered a lot of interesting things when I dated him..new things to learn from each other, new habit/culture (especially the fact that I was raised in Southeast Asia, it excites me to share with him about my own culture). I love it.

The same thing with my recent ex-bf who was latino. It was even cooler with him because I was exposed to the richness of his Central America's culture and vice versa. It was very neat. We were learning each other's native languages as well. I could imagine if I ended up marrying him then our kids would be trilingual. How cool is that! ^_^

Bottom line, I prefer to date guys who is outside my own ethnicity and hope to have an interracial marriage/family someday. But it's all up to God...if He were to give me someone from my own race, that's fine too. I am not going to limit what God has in store for me.

I second:clap: ! Not to mention that it seems like interracial children take the best features of both parents: they are SO DARN CUTE! ^_^

Just curious- Do you pronounce your name lee-uh? That's how most people pronounce my name, but I pronounce mine lay-uh.
