The Bible talks a lot about perilous times coming at the end. Jesus' commentary is found in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. Also 1 Thessalonians 5 and 1 Timothy 4.Just curious....
Should we read anything into all this stuff that is happening: earthquakes, tornados, fires, cyclones, economic crises, etc? Or is it just all in a day's happening?

There seems to be a frequency and an intensity in these things. Also, prophecy regarding Israel as a nation has been filled, and that is a biggie.Ok, interesting.
The counter argument, of course, is that these things (wars, natural disasters, revivals, etc.) have been happening all through history. So, I guess my question is, is this any different?

Technically, it's not coming to an end that soon. Here's what I believe as best as I can tell. I pray the Lord reveal to me if it is any different. First, the rapture of the church will occur, followed by a 7 year period that will begin soon after when the anti-Christ signs a peace treaty with Israel. This will be the most horrid time of all upon the earth since the beginning of time, so much so, men will desire to kill themselves and will not be able to. Revelation is a must read for more detail on this. The 7 year period is clear. After that, Christ will return to set up His millennial reign upon the earth. How we lived our lives here will determine our roles in this time as we reign with Him.Ok, so the world is coming to an end, eh? Fine. I doubt it will end in any of our lifetimes. We just get to be witnesses to the mess.

When I was a new Christian and not familiar with the bible, I had a powerful vision of Jesus on a white horse. The horse was snorting and ready to burst forth, but Jesus held him back. Jesus looked at me and said, "I'm coming soon." Later, I learned how this vision was consistent with the bible.
I strongly believe we are in the last days/years, and we all have a lot of work to do. We need to witness to as many people as we can, and we need to strengthen our own Body. The bible says that many of the faithful will fall away. Too many Christians are lukewarm and sleeping. I think the forces will be too strong and will carry away lukewarm or sleeping Christians. Even the strong need to be stronger - filled with the Holy Spirit and power.
