I have been looking for work since December. I've been on several interviews but can't seem to ever get the job. One of them was close to 2 hours long and I just feel exhausted after all this. I've done practice interviews and tried relaxation techniques but nothing seems to be working. I've prayed about this since I've been unemployed but absolutely nothing seems to be happening and I feel like I'm going to be unemployed for the rest of my life.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Do you have good marketable skills, and are you confident of your abilities, and do you have a pleasant and thoughtful manner toward other people? These are always important to approach an interview.
The job market is presently very tight and many people are looking for work, so an excellent Resume and good presentation is essential.

Sorry to hear your troubles, I have been out of work since 2008. But I do have other income. we will pray for work for you. Meanwhile, How is your attitude there at the interviews? what do you think they sense and see in you? We were given a Comforter, the Holy Spirit which will present to us the precious fruit from the tree of life.( Fruits of the Spirit). From this tree we can pluck and eat, and we may then guide others to it, so that they may eat. The one who loves God meditated on God day and night. They bears the fruit of a branch that is vitally connected to the Vine(Christ). And as the opportunity opens, he does good, and everywhere, at all times and all places they find opportunity to work for God. Are you looking where you want to be or where God is telling you to be? If we are true Christians then the beauty of our well-ordered life and godly conversation inspires faith, hope and courage in others. This is Christianity in practice. So, my friend wear the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God a great price. Cherish the grace of Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering and Gentleness. This is the fruit of the Christian tree. Planted by the rivers of water, it always brings fourth its fruit in "due season". So, If we have Love in our souls it will be a natural consequence for us to have all the other graces (fruits of the spirit): joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness my friend,and temperance. One last thing my friend: When the Love of Christ is enshrined in the heart, His presence will be felt.
