  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Im on Zyprexa, an anti-psychotic, and Celexa, an anti-depressant

Ive had an MRI, a cat scan, and an EEG or ECG, and a sleep deprived EEG/ECG

All came back normal, and that was when I was panicking like utter heck.

Every test i get comes back as totally normal. The only thing they havent done is a PET scan, which directly scans the chemicals in your brain for things like.... imbalances.

They wont do it however because it costs thousands of dollars to do, and is mainly used for autopsies.

i can relate..i'm in a sorta boot camp right now...God's teaching me to be a warrior for Him and to fear none but Him....i've soooo wrestled with Him about this...it's a soul-shredder, this place....but He is relentless...and that part of me that asked for this from the git-go is cheering Him on.....

He is relentless.....

YouTube - You Won't Relent - Jesus Culture - Kim Walker and Chris Quilalaa

there's a verse that's something like this:

I have called thee in the furnace of affliction.

Praying for you brother (((((hug)))))

Zyprexa can cause insomnia as a side effect.

What dose have you been prescribed?

Also, what other medications have you been on?

The zyprexa never gave me an insomniatic effect, actually it always put me to sleep after about an hour.

I used to be on 20MG for a while, but since the doctor no longer thinks its doing anything... or much of anything, shes reduced me to 5MG.

Ive been on... Risperidone, Seroqueil... actually you know what. I cant remember them all. Ive been on several though.

Oh, you said you were not sleeping much.

Anti-psychotics make me sleepy, too.

I have been on Risperidone and Seroquel, too. Risperidone made me so out of it that I could not stand up straight, and I slept all the time except for a few hours a day. Seroquel made me sleep a lot, too. I take Nozinan now and it helps, but again... I sleep a lot. Sigh.

My psych has prescribed them to me for the treatment of severe anxiety disorders. When you mentioned that you are taking anti-psychotics with an anti-depressant, I just wondered about the dose... oftentimes anti-psychotics are prescribed alongside anti-ds in order to calm the patient, but they are prescribed in much higher doses for the treatment of possible hallucinations.

The simple fact that I have come to realize in life is that we all have "demons" to some effect or another. These "demons" exsist in our lives in different ways. Such as your way "hearing voices."

You may never find a solution to this at all. The best thing you can do is continue to remain firm with them.

Try asking them what their purpose of inflicting you is.

I hope eveything works out for you and you will remain in my prayers brother. God Bless!

Have you ever been tested for schizophrenia? Have you been to like, a real, serious, professional psychiatrist? I don't just mean some GED-educated counselor around the corner.
I asked him the exact same thing and he insisted he didn't have Schizophrenia.

Tenken, have you considered the fact that you might be "psychic" and are able to see spirits? Not sure if I believe in that myself, but it's a thought.

Taoism is NOT a religion. it is a philosophy which does not conflict with Christianity. As a matter of fact, they support each others ideologies.
That reminds me of the hyper-spiritualism that claims not to be a religion.

Taoism is most certainly a religion, as it posits the fundamentals of a world view shaped around a very strange concept of deity (the "oneness" of all things).

I might actually be interested in that. Clearing the mind sounds like a Godsend....I have a hard time 'relaxing'.
