Feeling REALLY panicky...

I just spend the last hour trying to figure out why this computer is going so slow all of a sudden. This computer is ONLY 4 months old, THAT IS IT, it is already lagging. AND there is no way that we can afford to take it to Best Buy to have them clean it, that cost 100 dollars.
I have done what I can to make it run faster but I am not at peace.
I just ask you all to PLEASE PRAY that this computer does not die. I TRY to be good to it, I have NOT downloaded a thing that would make it "age" quickly.
I have had a PANIC attack cause of this issue, it is so depressing. I REALLY NEED the computer, it is the only window of hope in my lonely world while I wait for a job and a better place to move to that is safe.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PRAY, I NEED PRAYERS, I need this computer right now PLEASE.
I know this may sound like "small pototoes" but I am so close to running away and I am waiting for one little thing to happen and I AM GONE, if this computer dies I WILL RUN AWAY that will be the last straw for me REALLY.
PLEASE PRAY PLEASE that all goes well with this computer PLEASE.

sometimes computers run slowly because there are lots of people using the network at one time. also, best buy might give you some free advice over the phone, talk you through a couple of things that you can do yourself to "clean," the computer. HP did that with me.

and yes, I will pray. I understand. I would miss my online network, especially you!, if my computer died.

Right, what is slow with your computer, the Internet or generally using it?

What have you done to address the slowness?

More information is needed so God can fix it

I agree clear the cache; delete browsing history, delete your temporary files and cookies, empty your recycle bin, check for any updates and run them, run a virus scan, then restart.

I know how aggravating it is. Makes me want to say bad words.

I will take your advice. Yep i agree be kind to the electronics, that is how my dell computer lasted 7 years with the internet before the internet crashed for good on the Dell.

I hope things are going ok for you now, have you seen a doctor about the panicking?

I know how important a PC is as a link to the outside world when its a bad day, and also know about the panicking side. One day I felt so panicky I was feeling dizzy, had a terrible stabbing pain in my chest and was almost sick.. the reason.. I couldnt get my car out of a space.. doesnt make sense and sounds daft to anyone who has never suffered panic attacks but it is treatable.

Medication isnt for everyone, counsellling isn't for everyone, but its worth just having a word with the doctor.

If your internet is loading slowly I would blame your connection, not your computer. If the computer in general is going slow do what people above suggested, empty caches, restart, etc. Also maybe your virus scanner turned on or something. There are a lot of things that could be causing it to slow down for a time that doesn't mean your computer is dying.

Petal, computers respond to only one thing: cold hard logic. They're just machines. Develop a routine for what to do when the computer becomes sluggish, the first thing being to do a full restart (not just closing the lid on the lappy but going to shut down - restart in the Start menu).

The only thing that makes me panic when it happens to a computer of mine is when it wont come on at all or it won't pass POST (no system beep or error beep) or it gives "no system disk" error. Almost everything short of that can be dealt with relatively painlessly.

Hope you are doing good flower - and if its running slow try opening Internet explorer then doing ctrl + shift + delete then delete it all!!
