• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Feel so depressed.

Wouldn't it be better to fall into a doctors office then suffer???

Do you have anyone at home that cares about you???

If so, have you told them about how you feel???

Do they know anything about mental illness???

Do they have any idea what is done when a person can no longer take the pain???

WHEN MINE GOT UNBEARABLE I WENT INTO THE HOSPITAL!!! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO???

REMEMBER GOD'S WORD AND REMEMBER:

I echo the advice of my brother above, do not hesitate to reach out for the help of your doctor,f amily and friends and fall directly into the arms of a God who loves you. Remember that this does pass if you get the help you need. Praying that you will be safe during this time!!!

I cry with you berry for I know how you feel. I've been there so many times and my heart aches for you. The whole world of bipolar is a very difficult world to live, and crashing for me, seems to be the hardest. I pray that God will lift your spirits and send you comfort.
We all love you sweetie!

Dear Berry2000

I am still concerned about you. You didn't answer my questions. Maybe you thought they were to personal, I don't know.

But this is a very personal disease. The reason I asked these questions is so that I might advise you properly.

You DO NEED to have someone close by that has a knowledge of this problem and how to Handel this for you to be safe. ( or at least as safe as possible )

PLEASE KNOW THAT I DO CARE AND REMEMBER:

I don't really know how to answer those questions. My brain is sluggish.

My husband asked me yesterday...are you going to be okay...you don't seem right. I said I don't know. We tried to figure out what to do but ended up both shrugging our shoulders at each other.

I am giving it a little time. Most likely I will call my therapist and ask for an appointment next week. I just don't feel brave enough to do that.

It's not that bad...and yet it is.

I can't figure things out right now.

Dear Berry2000

Would it be possible that your husband could post and receive posts here at CF???

I would like very much to talk with him. HOPEFULLY to bring more UNDERSTANDING of this disease. It can also be very confusing for those we live with.

There is also a group that your spouse can attend that will help both you of you.

TIME DOES NOT CURE!!!

TIME CAN CAUSE SEVERE CARNAGE!!!

Dear I love your SOUL and don't want to see harm come to you.

EVEN IN THIS ALWAYS REMEMBER:

No I don't like him to have contact with people I confide in online otherwise this isn't a safe place for me. Unless I am in an emergency situation in which I'd speak with someone on staff to help me talk to him.

He would never understand what we have been talking about and he might get really anxious and worried unnecessarily.

My mood has swung...I knew it would...with the med comibination I'm on now...it never lasts too long. And it's never as deep of a depression as it was in the past.

So seems I made it through. And thanks to you all for supporting me through a rough patch.

Berry, It's ok to feel sad sometimes, in the same way that it is ok to feel safe.

It can be difficult for us sometimes to discern between a Bipolar reaction to things and a simple feeling. That makes it really tough and I'm not trying to be complicated. I just want to remind you that some days, we are simply a little sad and it can be ok to feel that way.

If your feeling is much more than what I suggest, I hope that you are able to keep yourself in check. I'm certain that someone around you can see your pain and I hope that they will give you a little extra love for now.

I'll put in a word with the big guy for ya.

Take care.

Stephen
