Democrats understand the politics. The problem is that outside the immigration discussion, most of us think there isn’t a health emergency. So continuing a ban on those grounds is a lie. Biden is supposed to uphold the laws, not do what is popular.

And not just misusing article 42. But it is brilliant! By playing 'catch and release' the illegal border crossing numbers get inflated! Those crossing the border are simply returned to the other side to try again. The high numbers are then used to justify a flawed process that increases them.

No, catch and release does not send people back over the border until they have had their day in court.
That said, complaining about the misuse of title 42 by people who have been arguing for months against covid restrictions is beyond disingenuous, that is if it is not just ignorance of the function and purpose of laws.
