Fed up with husband's temper tantrums

Every 3 to 4 weeks he flips out for 7 days, huh? I can only think of one thing... Male PMS. And a pretty bad case of it.

But in all seriousness, it sounds like his own self-esteem issues, just taken out on you, and by the fact that he came up with this plan, it looks to me like he actually wants to change and that he knows he has an issue. And that is the first step to changing.

Sounds like he's having his period.

Not as funny as it sounds,I'v said this answer to ppl lots of times and i believe its true. A mans period can be very real and will show in pent up aggression.

Christ can change it from happening,I know as to some extent I was a bit like your husband & for no reason would 'feel' screwed up inside and the lovely wife would bare the brunt of it. I would analyze why and could not find out why at all.

She worked on her part of being an en flamer if i got off on one, which was also me coming to a head with negativeness, usually about her parents or work. We both learned (through The Holy Spirit) to walk away from each other when either of us would start one up,but this took yrs before we got there

But as The lord drew me closer to Himself and by working on it together with my wife it has now completely gone.
Yes for several yrs now. Wow yes it is. TY Jesus

This is reassuring to hear. I am praying to God daily that we will get through this. Thank you for your answer!

GinnaBee: I'm going to throw something out that will be off the wall. But here goes.

I have been seeing a chiropractor couple that use the Activator method. They say that people who have problems with the alignment of their skull throw temper tantrums. I've tried to get my husband to go and see them because he does the same thing, but I've been unsuccessful so far. Don't know if your guy could be willing, but it would be worth a try.

I've seen tremendous physical improvements for me since I've been seeing them. I had a constant pain in my lower back for what seemed like forever, and it is now gone.

Sounds just like my dad. Me and my brothers grew up walking on eggshells for fear of setting him off.

He said once that he never meant to upset me, that he loves me and that his beef was not with me but with mom. But that was not comforting to me at all. I hated him for treating her like that.

Found this on Chiropractors

''They may be able to help some people, so a few are good and do their job correctly but most don't know what they are doing and can cause further damage to the already injured area they are treating. Notice when you go to a chiropractic doctor for treatment that they have you sign a form that prevents you from being able to sue them if they injure you during a treatment? I know from personal experience (I have gone to three chiropractor's in the past) that the end result can be additional damage to the injury and more intense pain. For instance I went for treatment after a back injury and later after a whiplash injury. I walked out of the office with an arm and shoulder totally inflamed and burning with pain that lasted almost three weeks! And other times I have gone for treatment and have never noticed improvement but always more pain after-wards. So if you decide to go, please rethink this. '

I'm sorry that you had such a bad time, Ariellamb. Were they activator chiropractors? I've been to many, and hated it, and some have cause me greater pain. (One here where I live did.) And others have done a little good. But these two folks, activators, have helped me tremendously. I will never go to another kind again.

I'm not saying they are right on exactly, but I don't have pain in my back any more. And after many, many years, back to when I was a teenager, I have no pain. That to me is amazing.
