I have a lot of gratitude for Pope St. John Paul II, not only did he enforce the correct interpretation of Vatican II, but he restored Marian Devotion in the Church. Like I said before, I don't think I would have survived in those dark times when Marian Devotion was under attack by the Modernists. Pope St. John Paul II, restored many of the great and grace-filled Marian Devotions, including the Holy Rosary, all of which have been very helpful to me and my healing and Sanctity. I know in the past, I've complained a lot about struggling with sin, but looking back now (Not that I'm fully healed, and free.) I'm actually shocked at how quickly I overcame my sins! This, for me, is a strong testimony that the Catholic Church is the One True Church, as to clearly shows, that God's grace is present in her Sacraments and Devotions.
In celebration, of today's feast, I did a quick renewal of my Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary. (St. John Paul II said that his consecration was a big turning point in his life) Throughout today, I'm going to be various books on Our Lady, in fact, I'm almost finished reading Carrie Gress' The Marian Option, and she has chapter dedicated to the Life and work of Pope St. John Paul II, I might re-read that. For dinner tonight, I'm going to be having Poland's national dish again, pirogues, as well some sweet wine.
Is anyone else celebrating the Feast of Pope St. John Paul II? How are you celebrating? And what do you think of St. John Paul II.
