Castaway:
Your comments made and my response:
This is not true; the Word of God is living, and active, and quite independent of "history;" so called. There are many different, subjective anecdotal interpretations to history, and to say the Word of God is dependent for understanding on something finite and subjective is simply wrong. The Bible is used to justify/prove "all things," not some things. And since it does reflect that the feast days and Sabbath days are/were types of shadows of Calvary, then we can safely reason, based on history, proven by the Bible, that Christ's death on the cross satisfies fully what these Feast days, Sabbath Days, etc has SYMBOLIZED but never did or will accomplish.
Well I see that you have not left and you able to provide false information again. The Sacrifical System (which included the forms of the priestly services in the earthly Temple), was and is the only thing that symbolized the true sacrfice of the Savior. These things and only these things who could never take away sin were nailed to the tree!
The ceremonial law was thus given to Moses, and by him written in a book. But the Law of Ten Commandments spoken from Sinai had been written by ELOHIM HIMSELF on the tables of stone, and was sacredly preserved in the Ark.
There are many who try to blend these two systems, using the texts that speak of the ceremonial law to prove that the moral law has been abolished; but this is a perversion of the Scriptures. The distinction between the two systems is broad and clear. The ceremonial system was made up of symbols pointing to YAHSHUA, to HIS sacrifice and HIS PRIESTHOOD. This ritual law, with its sacrifices and ordinances, was to be performed by the Hebrews until type met antitype in the death of YASHUA, the LAMB of ELOHIM that taketh away the sin of the world. Then all the sacrificial offerings were to cease. It is this law that YAHSHUA "took . . . out of the way, nailing it to His cross." Colossians 2:14. But concerning the Law of Ten Commandments the psalmist declares, "Forever, O YAHWEH, Thy Word is settled in Heaven." Psalm 119:89. PP 364, 365
This is so clear a child can understand it is sad that grown folk can't and refuse to with malice to others. You do not hear EGW mention any days but rituals, ceremonies and symbols which were done every day!
While the SAVIOR'S death brought to an end the law of types and shadows, it did not in the least detract from the obligation of the Moral Law. On the contrary, the very fact that it was necessary for YAHSHUA to die in order to atone for the transgression of that Law, proves it to be immutable.
Those who claim that YAHSHUA came to abrogate the Law of ELOHIM and to do away with the Old Testament, speak of the Jewish age as one of darkness, and represent the religion of the Hebrews as consisting of mere forms and ceremonies. But this is an error. PP 365, 366
Again the people were reminded of the sacred obligation of the Sabbath. Yearly Feasts (Holy Appointed Set Time) were appointed, at which all the men of the nation were to assemble before YAHWEH, bringing to HIM their offerings of gratitude and the first fruits of HIS bounties. The object of all these regulations was stated: they proceeded from no exercise of mere arbitrary sovereignty; all were given for the good of Israel. YAHWEH said, "Ye shall be holy men unto ME"--worthy to be acknowledged by a HOLY ELOHIM.
These Laws were to be recorded by Moses, and carefully treasured as the foundation of the national Law, and, with the ten precepts which they were given to illustrate, the condition of the fulfillment of ELOHIM'S promises to Israel. PP p. 311
In consequence of continual transgression, the Moral Law was repeated in awful grandeur from Sinai. YAHSHUA gave to Moses Religious Precepts which were to govern everyday life. These Statutes were explicitly given to guard the ten Commandments. They were not shadowy types to pass away with the death of YAHSHUA. They were to be binding upon men in every age as long as time should last. These Commands were enforced by the power of the Moral Law, and they clearly and definitely explained that Law. Ibid, April 15, 1875
Hear in clear and plain words that those who attempt to maliously attack me yet claim to accept the writings of EGW. EGW which I have stated very clearly states what ELOHIM has revealed to her you can also find it clearly in the Bible. YAHWEH states that the Holy Appointed Set Times are HIS and not man's. This is where I stand firm to obey HIS Word and if HE says they are HIS then Paul couldn't or wouldn't go against the ALMIGHTY!
Point well-taken here David
I guess it would be to fit your belief right?
And of course; you are the "professional" and we are not. Yikes, where have we heard that line before?
Professionalism is also how you act and what you have acheived. I received my Diploma and it does not matter if you accept me or not! I have respect of my peers and I not trying to defend what I acheive I am fine you are not.
It's too bad you have decided to deny the reality here, you change the words, you change the meanings, because you say it differently than the author. The question is not so much was the author you quoted right or wrong; as it is did you in fact directly, verbatim quote the author - and everyone can see you did not. You cant say you quote someone; when in fact you don't. I am not coming back to this forum. You and mister rainbow have made it a den of thieves, and have driven everyone away with your hatred and bitterness, and your unwillingness to talk about the love of God, and your willingness to condemn and attack other denominations, and even the very church which you used to belong to. And as far as I am concerned, this is not just non-Adventist; it is non-Christian.
Reality to you is to believe a lie a strong delusion. The reason is because you have come into this denomination with an upity attitude. You think you know when in reality you don't and what is so sad you are not open minded to know. It not because of me but anyone that does not measure up to your standards you become a vipper and begin to attack. You seem to forget what you said recently:
I hope you two have lots of fun posting to yourselves. No one wants to listen to you, and it's the only fun you will ever have. Enjoy
I see that you are still listening and attacking as brother Stan Tei quoted:
The only one "ATTACKING" anyone here is you Castaway. The vast majority of the posts I have made here are verbatim quotes from the Spirit of Prophecy and from Scripture. I have made no attacks of any kind.
Now I'll say point well taken Stan!
Happy Sabbath and still be bless my uncertain friend,
