The only thing in the world I freak out over is needles. It didn't used to be that way. I had bad memories from my allergy shot days but was fine until I had an IV the first time. I just don't like needles being in my skin for more than a second or two. Tattoos are fine. Those little punch doohickies they use to prick your finger are okay. But donating blood is now out of the question (not allowed to anyway) and I think if I ever need anymore IVs or shots I'm going to have to be held down. Seriously. I get all pale and hyperventilate...oh well.

I know how you fewel about that. I was good with needles until I had to get tested for mono. The stupid nurse didn't know what she was doing....*cringe*

I only get nervous when I have to have blood drawn. it was the same situation, the nurse had no idea what she was doing and she lost the vein, and I don't want to go into details, but I ended up nearly fainting as a result, so I get kinda freaked out now when I have to have blood drawn

I've never had to deal with snakes, living in New Zealand and all... so I can't tell you whether I'm afraid of them.
But, I don't think I'm really paralyzingly afraid of those mentioned. I don't like spiders, but if I have to, I'll kill them. Bugs are ok, but flying insects spook me. Not harmless ones like flies, but wasps, and bees =] Heights are ok. Needles are fine. Public speaking makes me nervous, but I'll do it. Death sorta scares me, not death itself, but that I'd be dying fairly young.

Hights, but for the most part only for other people. I can stand near the edge of somthing and be ok most of the time, but if someone else is standing there, I get kinda freaked. I'm ok with the rest of the things most of the time.

I am increadibly afraid of heights. This is extreemly weird because I love rock climbing. I can always get to the top without a problem, but when I get there I realize that I have to come back down. It's not so much of a problem with top ropeing, but when I'm boaldering with no ropes, I HATE comming back down. Sometimes, I just stand on top of the boulder for a while and look down, trying to muster up the courage to climb back down.

I actually have developed a fear of police officers when driving thanks to my days at Texas A&M. On one occasion I was pulled over twice in 12 hours for having an expired motor vehicle registration sticker which I had completely forgotten about because I had only recently acquired my vehicle and wasn't used to dealing with all that. On a separate occasion only a few months later I was pulled over by a guy on a bicycle -- who I had slowed down to avoid hitting since the fool was biking across the road in the middle of the night in traffic -- for having an expired safety inspection sticker. Needless to say due to those, and other, incidents and my rather poor memory I am paranoid that I am always doing something wrong that I am just not aware of yet when I'm in my car.

Gadzooks, a female rock climber. Man, if a girl wants to get a guy all she needs to do is take up rock climbing. All the other male climbers in a 5 mile radius will hark and then proceed to flock to her like the salmon of Capistrano. Anyways, yeah, I know what you mean. I used to mostly boulder indoors a lot for various reasons and the first time I topped out on a reasonably high boulder problem outside I was like, "well... that's was fun. Now to sit here and wait for death." I then spent the next 30 minutes looking for the easiest way down before actually descending.

I have no exclusive fears of phobias that I can think of. I try not to fear anything tangible (which can be seen). I fear spiritual warfare. I used to be half-afraid of bees, but after spending time around them, they don't bother me anymore. I've got vertigo, which is a (i think) psychological reaction to heights. I am not afraid of heights per se, I can ascend to any height, but my mind triggers something that makes me freeze up. Getting up there isn't a problem.
