No need to respond. I am just practicing my writing skills and my communication, which I am terrible at both.

Paul writes in Romans 1:18-19, "But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time this world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God."

I don't push the truth away from myself, but I still struggle with sin. I am very inconsistent in seeking God. I wonder what will happen to inconsistent people like me.

Paul says that the wrath of God is revealed from heaven. Well, some Christian scientist believe that hell is in the center of the earth. According to Bible scholars or preachers, the Bible describes hell, which is accurate to the center of the earth. If hell is in the center of the earth, then Paul is right about God's wrath is being revealed. Every time I see on the discovery channel a volcano erupting, I am looking at God's wrath. This causes fear in me.

Paul writes again in Romans 2:12-13, "God will punish the Gentiles when they sin, even though they never had God's written law. And he will punish the Jews when they sin, for they do have the law. For it is not merely knowing the law that brings God's approval. Those who obey the law will be declared right in God's sight."

I am doomed. I find it almost impossible to obey his laws. Yes, maybe I can do it outwardly. I can tell the truth. I don't steal. I honor my parents. But how does one stop himself from coveting or lusting? These aren't behaviours, they're desires. Hell might as well make room for me.

John writes in Revelation 21:8, "But cowards who turn away from me, and unbelievers, and the corrupt (which I am because of lusting), and the immoral, and those who practice witchcraft (I hope me watching charmed does not make me guilty), and idol worshipers (I am guilty of greediness which is the same thing) and all liars (guilty of this as well)_their doom is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This the second death."

I don't want hell or the lake of fire be my eternal home. I am scared.

Is a God who throws people into hell evil? Absolutely not. The problem is me, and my love of sin.

Really? At the center of the earth? Which Christian 'scientists' are these?

In regard to the remainder of your OP, you may want to consider that your 'feelings' in confronting the difficulties of sin are psychological manifestations which show that you are beginning to understand what Jesus meant by, "...taking up your cross daily."

Being Christian doesn't simply mean being "empowered" to live the godly life. Rather, it means that you become willing to endure the living of a Christian life in a fallen world, as Christ Himself endured.

Why would you ever fear something that you have no alternative but to imagine. The imaginary is not real and does not actually exist. Don't worry.

In reality, the majority of our fear is from the imagined.

Conversely, the lack of fear can be do to ignorance, like a baby near an electrical socket.

Indeed.

Life's experiences teach us the fears of reality (like touching a hot stove), but many other fears can be imagined.

...not if you lose your life in the process of discovery.

If we don't fear real threats, indeed, we can be at risk.

Do you have an example of someone losing their life directly from an imagined fear?

Your question has little bearing on the OP; rather, your questioning simply elicits a subconscious insinuation as to the nature of the OP, one that is not established either way.

OK. Everyone I get it.

This thread is [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]. I will try to write a more interesting one, if you'll read it after this failed thread.

What they don't tell you is that fearing fear can really screw you up a whole lot more than any physical thing you can be afraid of. If you fear fear you're set for perpetual fear, because the fear you fear is itself there the moment you fear what you fear, which causes fear, and more fear, more fear, more fear.

Seriously, we call it agoraphobia.

Ernest Hemingway once said that the only two things that really frightened him were snakes and public speaking.

Dude, public speaking freaks people out more than death. Granted, people don't really think about death...but still.

Translation: we fear judgment more than not living. Crazy talk.
