This doesn't just have to relate to films. If you'd like you can list a child star from a television show. Who's your favorite child actor/s?
My list:

Dakota Fanning-How can you NOT include her? Great performances in Man On Fire, Hide And Seek, and especially I Am Sam.

Tina Yothers-She should of had more roles besides just Family Ties

Haley Joel Osment-He did an amazing job in The Sixth Sense. I also enjoy his voice acting work in the video game "Kingdom Hearts" as Sora.

Wil Wheaton, Corey Feldman, River Phoenix, Jerry O'Conell-Instead of listing them all separately I'm just going to note that all four of them had very good chemistry together in Stand By Me.

Rider Strong-I grew up watching Boy Meets World. I enjoyed all the cast in the show but Rider Strong who played Shawn Hunter, brought something unique to his character. I cried when the show ended

Miranda Cosgrove-Nickelodeon used to be great IMO but now 90% of the shows on now are just garbage compared to ten years ago. But the show Drake&Josh is very decent. A kid by the name of Miranda Cosgrove plays a character named Megan. I truly believe she can be the next Drew Barrymore. But only if she continues to be casted in shows/movies.

Ron Howard as Opie,and Jon provost as Timmy from Lassie,Haley Mills,Shirley Temple,Megan Fellows(Anne Of Green Gables).I don't watch many movies with kids today,because they are usually trashy movies,with smart-mouth brats! But I do love the good kids in the Harry Potter movies!

Dakota Fanning. She's the only one I'm liking right now. I must admit Kirsten Dunst was good when she was young (think Jumunji) but now she's more wooden than a wooden plank.

Dakota Fanning is amazing! She did an amazing job in Man on Fire and Hide and Seek!

I also like Georgie Henley. She played Lucy in the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and even though this was her first movie, she did an amazing job in it!

She was also in War of the Worlds, Hide and Seek...what was the first movie she was in that wow'd everyone? I can't remember.... I am Sam...she was in that and she was awesome.

I was reading about her (Dakota Fanning) on IMDB.com and on her quotes and conversations she said that a couple of years ago when she was at the SAG awards she won the award for best child actor or something like that. So when she went up on stage to give her speech they forgot to put a step so she could reach the microphone. So Orlando Bloom went up there and picked her up and held her while she gave her speech. When she finished the story she said, "I feel kind of bad about it now, cause my speech was long and he held me for a LONG time."

I thought that was cute, oh and for her 11th birthday Tom Cruise gave her a cell phone. Then during the filming of War of the Worlds he gave her a really nice iPod with over 1000 song downloaded on it.

She also knitted scarves for Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, Robert De Niro, Steven Spielberg, and Tim Robbins.

Any child star in the movies of the 30's and 40's. Somehow they were more tender and sweet. They were real in they were depicted. Children were adored for being themselves.
