I'm not sure if the show quite made it to the 80's but my favorite TV character was Roger (aka. "Raj") from the series What's Happening.

Then - Face from the A-Team (I was 12 when the 80's started!)

Now - The only 80's show I ever watch is Cheers once in a while, and Sam was great.
