  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I guess I should post my vote too. This is a really, really tough choice for me since I liked everyone one of them, but I think I'm going to have to go with Rock Howard. He's a mix of two of my favorite characters from Fatal Fury: Terry Bogard and Geese Howard (original hero and boss respectively).

I really liked the shoulder rush action (among other things) of Jon Talbain/Gallon of the Darkstalkers/Vampire series. They could have made a werewolf character just be a brute with powerful attacks, but no real technique. Thankfully they made it so you can really do some nice tricks with his moves; and he's rather unique, he doesn't really fit into a standard fighter archetype (i.e. guy with lunging melee attacks and fireballs, or guy who moves slowly and has powerful throws). And the fluid animation of those games just endeared him to me all the more.

Of the Ryu/Ken/Dan/Akuma/etc. (especially when you consider spin-offs from other series) I always preferred Ken, simply because back in the day everyone preferred Ryu and I wanted to be different. But his improved dragon punch at the expense of weaker fireballs did fit my playing style. I will say, however, that Ken's whole backstory is horrible.
