CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
the preast i forgot the name of the character but i think he is the coolest because he is calm and always ready for action, he is smart and strange and good with his guns and equipments!!!!

I'm a Wolfwood fan. I'm not sure why. He's actually not a good model for Christians AT ALL. But he is pretty cool.

I actually liked Milly the best on the basis of character and characterization. Sure, she starts out as a complete bubblebrain (and no, I do not by any means endorse what she did in episode 23 but. . .*slaps the Wolfwood fans and says it takes two to do that*), but as the series went on, she proved to be definitely the most stable and generally "good" of all the characters.
On the basis of looks alone (i.e. the best-looking bishounen irregardless of anything else) that's definitely Legato. Mass murderer, psychotic, definitely has issues (and, depending on how you interpret the anime and manga, may well be homosexual), but he's definitely IMHO the best looking character in the series.

You can't deny that the way Wolfwood carries his cross around is cool, ("That thing is heavy, mister!" "That's because it's so full of mercy.") but in terms of personality and behavior I have to say I like Vash the best. The way he is willing to sacrifice his own body to avoid hurting others is something I wish I would be as willing to do if the situation ever presented itself to me.

The coolest character I thought was Legato, cause he just is. Even when a guy shoots a bullet at him, he doesn't lose his cool.

some of my favorites are like the Nebraska family or any of the giants. they are funny because it seems like they hurt themselves more than others. I think my favorite would be Nick D. Wolfwood. cool name. coold looks. cool guy

Trigun and Rurouni Kenshin are the two animes with the best characters. Honestly, I don't have a favorite, but Legato, Vash, and Wolfwood are all awesome. Knives got freaky at times, but other than that he's alright.

Vash is my favorite character because he's funny and has a tragic past and he's a really nice guy and he's just COOL! Wolfwood is my second favorite character. He's funny too. I agree, he did seem like a Christian at the end.

Vash is pretty classic, but Legato had to be one of the most convincing and chilling villains I have seen. The whole first scene with him and Vash seeing each other is downright chilling.

Gotta love Vash. Poor guy, can't go anywhere without trouble coming along for the ride. Such a hilarious concept (done well, even when Vash has to be serious).
Wolfwood's nice too, I have to admit. While I can't say that he was a perfect Christian, he did manage to improve himself.
