  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have a fat kitty. We've been sharing a bedroom for a year and a half, and he isn't allowed downstairs, unfortunately. So, the sedate life hasn't been good for him. We look forward to being able to get into our new house. I bought a harness for him so he could go outside, and I couldn't get the largest one (18") to fit without squishing him.

Yep I've got a fat cat. His name is Andy but my brother's ex-girlfriend nicknamed him Fat Tony so he get's called that most of the time..lol. I don't know how much he weighs now, but I remember he used to weigh 12 pounds although I think he is heavier now..lol. His belly comes close to hitting the floor at times.lol.

My sister moved in for time with her famly and 3 cats, lets say the cats dont see eye ball to eye ball.

they (ziggie, zorro & zipper) had the bottem floor and and mine (kelly & toney) had the top.

man that seemed it lasted longer

the lady next door had a other 2 lb cat she got the large'st thing for her cat as well Mika was known as "fat boy" "tub of lard" and "mommas boy"
lol

I had a huge one, 25 pounds. Had a head like a softball. Probably about 3 feet long.
thing i love about huge cats is waching them sleep on someones legs and waching
as they lose all the bood in there legs yet they dont want to get up because of the fact they dont want to wake kiddy haha

My cat Panther Paws is a short haired golden Tabby. When he was a kitten his mastress was on crack cocaine and instead of meeting his nutritional needs she chose to meet her own need. He was given to me when he was 6mo old and became a master manipulator at food getting. Starts panicking when the Iams dish becomes half full. Weighs 16 pounds now and I just don't see how he jumps up on the counter. Grunts when he jumps up and when he lands back down on the floor.

We've had Oz since July, when we adopted him from a rescue centre who couldn't place him because he was a bit snappy.

He's been fine with us, but he's the biggest Cat I've ever had. He weighs 14lb. At first I thought he was a fatty, but he doesn't eat excessively, and he's not getting any smaller. I guess he's just a lot of muscle.

He's not a lap cat, and to be honest if he were I'd be getting dead legs. ^_^

Anyway you can judge for yourselves.

I've got a fat cat too. Kosmo is about 18 lbs. But he is also a really big cat - very long. It's been my 5 year-old's job to feed him for the last year and a half so I recently took over to put him on a bit of a diet. He's still pretty active and extremely good tempered though.

My cat weighs 18 pds...thats him in the corner...his name is Rodger. HE IS HUGE...his tummy almost drags the ground...when he gets upset at one of our other cats he breathes really hard you can hear him....he likes to spend his day sleeping and sorting through the cat food picking out his fave ones and then throwing the rest of them on the kitchen floor...so there is always like a pile of food on the floor around his cat bowl. He loves to bring me his fave play mouse at least three times daily meowing so I can reward him for catching it (so he thinks). Me and him have a special bond...he likes to play peak a boo with me...I have to hide my face behind something then peak over it while he lays down and does silent meows too me. I have had him since he was two days old...when his mom ran off we fed him milk through a empty visine bottle...he does have angerment issues...but he can be sweet when he wants too....you never know how much your cat loves you until you are use to rolling over on your pillow and rolling into cat spit at any given night of the week.
Finally got a pic of my fat cat here he is...

well... these aren't my cats... but for some reason, I love fat cats! I think the fatter they are, the cuter... although I wouldn't want my cats to get this large due to health reasons... but I do love them fat cats.

haha!

he looks like a Norweigian Forester,
^^ mawahaha

how old is he?

We think he looks a bit like a Norwegian Forest cat too, we're waiting to see if his coat gets longer in the winter, I know they have winter and summer coats. But whatever he is, he's a nice cat. The rescue centre said he was around 3 and a half years old. I don't know how they come by that, but he's not an old cat. He has these Potty times, when he goes all scatty and runs under the room sized rug. Then there's this hump moving under it like a Tom and Jerry cartoon. ^_^

We used to have a fat cat when I was young. He wasn't very active but he had a powerful arm. He must have developed it catching small creatures outside. You would not want to mess with him and get him angry.

He liked to sit in the good chairs or the couches. It was hard to get him to move because he would growl if you touched him and you were afraid he would swat or snap at you if you held him for long.

He never moved fast even when you called him for his food. It's like he knew it would still be there when he got there. It seemed like he was smart. I only saw him run one time outside when he was chasing after a small creature to eat or else another pet had angered him.

All he did was eat and sleep.

Aww..I feel sorry for fat cats:(. I do all I can to keep my Henry and Callie fit and trim and energetic. I'm not trying to be a kill-joy to you who like your cats large:) but don't you get concerned about your pet being unhealthy because of the overwieght?
