Fasting & Prayers

hi all. first i like to thank the awesome community here for sharing your passion about God with fellow pre-believers and believers.

recently my faith and trust in God was tested. i made a thread about it.

In the midst of my trial, i tried fast & pray. I wasnt sure if i was doing it right but i did some quick research over the net and i did it.

it was a day without food but with fluids only. and i spent the whole day just reading the bible, read christian blogs and articles that i can relate to my trials. Watched videos and not forgetting my QT with God.

By midnight i was so spiritually productive and motivated i felt like my passion for God was reignited to a whole new level. and frankly i love it.

And last week i did that again. and true enough i have the same feeling and the same peace, contentment and sense of relief kept hovering throughout my fast & pray day and a day after.

I do not know if these 'good vibe' is a result of a change in my routine or it is the legit outcome of a fast & pray. But i like to gather more knowledge, views, understanding, experiences and advice from anyone who practice fast & pray.

*** for the past 2 prayer requests i fasted and prayed for , i got it answered within 3 days

My honest opinion is this was the result of change in routine. But change in routine does not exclude the notion that you are praying.

as I say often. If you Love what God loves and Hate what He hates,
then are not all your actions in prayer?

and i forgot to add in my earlier post is that, for every prayer request i had, i got it answered within 2-3 days after my fast & prayers. so far it is 2 for 2

i was in a financial rut, still is but conditions have improved. i prayed for strength through this storm, seek clarity on how to deal with it and any form of reprieve and assistance.

i got a big loan from friends to tie me over and now a new job is in the works.
