fasting and prayer is supposed to be the average christian lifestyle, it isnt meant to be something we SOMETIMES or truthfully rarely do.

do we really know that God doesnt just hope we fast and pray.
God intends for us to know, that we are simply supposed to fast.
christians fast, thats what they do.
christians love, thats what they do, christians give, thats what they do, christians care and live holy, thats what they do, but we have missed that christians fast, thats simply what were supposed to do.
but most of us dont, not on any real basis.
only when the pastor calls a fast, or only when a child is dying, or only when problems hit.
but christians are supposed to fast, its a lifestyle. Jesus didnt say IF you fast, he plainly bluntly said "YOU WILL....and WHEN YOU DO..."
though most of us have left him hanging there, becuase we dont.
but this is one of the problems of why people haven given up hope that the new testament modern church can ever have the glory and power that Jesus and the apostles had.
but the answer is plain, Jesus fasted, we dont.
the disciples fasted, and we dont.
fasting and prayer is the process to deep spiritual power and glory in this life, we can see the lame raised up, the blind healed, the sick healed, the dead raised, the multitudes won to christ! if we can get back to the prerequisites that Jesus gave us, fasting and prayer. and it messes me up because some christians say that such miracles are uneeded today, yeah, go tell the people in the hospital that.
or that we have some new superior thing that eclipses such menial things as seeing our needy raised up in the power of God. thats so foolish, the church has become a shambled broken sloppy run down house full of sick and dying people, compared to the power and glory that it once had. THE CHURCH HAS BECOME A CONVALESCENT HOME! were people go to die and just make the process of death flow a little easier! all our knowledge and intellects and great christian brains have only medicated the problem on the surface level, but left roots of death and decay that run deep!
we have the image of God, but we deny the power thereof...
i mean, how many pastors or preachers in america arent even saved!
they just started preaching cus they knew some stuff, or becuase it seemed like a good thing to do, but dont even pray 5 mins a day!
people running the church, people who dont even slightly know God!
but the proof is in the lost and dying, not in the world, the ones in the pews!
brothers cant get healed, brothers can get out of debt, brothers cant save their families, and they get taught how to live with it.
